I'm sixty-nine years old and Neil's music has been the soundtrack of my life. It's been everywhere with me, from relationship to relationship, job to job, good health and bad. I'm grateful to have had this man's music with me through it all.

My musical relationship with Neil young started at a young age. Often waking me from my slumber as a small child… loud accompanying my father home after a few too many. It drove me nuts… as I grew so did my appreciation for his music. My Dad drank less and we loved when his songs would come over the radio. He became synonymous with my dad. I listened. I felt. I could relate. And I’m sure my love of the harmonica came from his music… I’ve since lost my dad, who I was very close to, Tragically. And CBC had a piece in today where they talked of this new release , and played a bit of the beginning as I was passing where he died… the lyrics resonated in an eerie way… so relevant. Like senses from maybe my dads perspective at the time… it was a very strange experience. I had to listen to its entirety. Just wanted to share. Have a great day.
