Played this (actually the long live version 18 min) to my nephew when he was about 8 years when we were at our summer cottage at fall and he listened the song so calmly, hardly said anything. I was so pleased not to hear any complaint about the lenght of the song or anything:) And I still am.

Everywhere I looked, there was at least one person enjoying some left handed lettuce - here in Australia, the sniffer dogs would be on you before you've even left the train station. I was about 3-4 rows from the front when they finally came on after the sun had gone down, and it was everything I dreamed it would be. They played all the good shit, plus a few numbers from Psychedelic Pill. By the time I got back to my hostel that night, I'd made sloppy oral love to a burrito thicker than my arm, and was feeling suspiciously good - if not floaty as hell. Good times.

I get it!! I grew up with NY. I too rocked out on Shrooms and many other goodies, while listening to him work his magic. Saw this show in 1979 at Chicago Stadium when I was 19..... man, wish I could go back.

Check out Ty Segall and King Gizzard. I've seen Neil Young and Crazy Horse about 20 times. Three of their shows are in the top five of my list of 100 concerts I attended. The June 13th King gizzard show at the salt shed in Chicago is the greatest concert I've ever been to. It replaced Weld as my all-time favorite live show. Watch a couple videos from that June 13th show and then tell me that they're not making music like this anymore.

They peaked in 1991. Smell the Horse Tour, also known as Weld for the live album they put out for it. That was Neil Young and Crazy Horse in their absolute prime.

I saw these guys playing Cortez the Killer @ Rio, one of my highlights moments! Unforgettable.

This version and the 'Weld' version compete in my mind for best ever.

Beautiful song, but Neil takes a pretty idyllic view of the Aztecs! I can see why the Spanish were a little ticked off!
