On April 20th, Neko, a blind American Akita went missing from his owner's home in Collinsville, OK. If you are in the area please join the search!
It can be difficult for a dog to survive in the wild, never mind being blind. Let's all work together to bring this weet boy home.

@@TheAkitaLife dammit. I am sure you sent pictures around the neighborhood. How about the local shelters? I can't imagine what you are going through. Does he have a chip? And phone numbers on his collar? I am devastated.

I pray that they find this dog! This is so awful.. I hope there is a substantial award offered. That will help to find him if there is human element to this. Good Luck! If I lived closer I'll join the search.

I had a blind cat, he got around easy, had an amazing sense of smell and surroundings but, he was slow and obviously disabled. If Neko has not been located by a passerby and is out wandering the wilderness on his own, he is truly in a helpless situation. This is so sad and scary. I hope he is recovered swift and safely.

Unfortunately no, but they are still getting leads with people thinking they've seen him

Still no update. Someone has reached out and claims they saw him with someone at a local Lowes store, so I believe they are investigating that lead, in the meantime more search parties are heading out over the next couple of days.

@@TheAkitaLife So Upsetting, I really feel for them ! I suppose in a way at least if he is with someone he is being cared for and not out in the wilds by himself until he can be brought back to his family.
