Nelson Eddy & Gale Sherwood Interview & Performance 

Extra fascinating to me since I've read "Sweethearts". A complex man. Was in a happy relationship with Gale.....but never stopped loving Jeanette!!!!!!!

Love Merv's comment when Nelson first speaks. "Ah, there's the voice".

Now that made me tear up. When he sang The Indian Love Song. Reading Sweethearts right now.

I can’t get over how understated and modest Nelson is in this interview. When he was with Jeanette, he was brash, very masculine and so confident. Ms. Sherwood is a great singer but she constantly elbows him out. The Indian Love Song sounds awful without Jeanette’s lovely, longing response to Nelson’s full and ardent call. The chemistry just doesn’t work. I wonder if Nelson felt the loss every time.

🎶🎶I have mixed feelings with his interview. It made me sad because I would rather see of course are Nelson with his Jenny🌹🎶🌹!! But I was glad to see he chose someone different than Jeanette!! Not try to find someone who could duplicate her in someway!! Sad to say I was never really happy to see Nelson work with Gale😥 Thanks!! You are able to see Our Nelson really enjoyed sing with His Jeanette the most just by the way he looked at his Beautiful, Beloved Jeanette 🎶🥰🎶🌹Jo Ann

I imagine the older gals recalled the handome young mounties and the older guys got an eye fill of the gorgeous young soprano.

Never cared for Gail's singing........

I do not like Nelson singing with Gail,lt is just not the same.
