i am very proud to be have been a citizen of South Africa,even though i never got to shack his hand/talk to him,atleast i knew i was sharing a country with the best leader SA ever,he was the father of the nation,a grandfather we shared with the world,the man who made SA what it is today....We thank you TATA foe all you have done and may you soul rest in peace,we will always love you
This man has been a huge inspiration to me. Though I haven't been wrongfully convicted or locked up in prison, I, like many others, am often in a position where I'm totally confined by circumstances. This man gives me the courage and inspiration to press forward, reach further, and to continue to hold out hope for greater things to come.

President Botha visited Mandela and offered to release him if he would renounce the violence and bombings. Mandela refused. When he became President of South Africa. He purchased massive amounts of weaponry. He also became cozy with other violent dictators around the world, including Qaddafi in Libya and Castro in Cuba. We know that communism in the 20th century was responsible for far more deaths than even the Nazis. Just one example, we know there 70 million people slaughtered in Russia alone. A pattern which we saw over and over again regarding communism. Just execute anyone who can read, or is outspoken, and happens to disagree with the communists. Mao Tse Tung in China. Castro, Stalin, Phnom Penn in Cambodia... Mandela. Today, the majority of South Africans, including blacks say they were better off under the apartheid government. Police and government corruption is rampant. Transparency International released it's 2013 report on government corruption and rated the current South African government as the highest, most corrupt in the world. South Africa now averages 59 murders daily. This amounts to about 1 murder per 2,413 every year! This easily makes it the most violent country in the world. Rape and gang-rape in South Africa are also the highest in the world. Part of the reason for this is the ridiculous myth propagandized by "witch doctor" types who tell people that having sex with a virgin is a cure for Aids. Predictably, this has led to an increase in Aids. Today, 12% of South African citizens are H.I.V. positive. The ANC government has done nothing to stop the pandemic. Moreover, poverty amongst both withes and blacks has increased dramatically since the ANC took over in 1994. Fortunately, the Apartheid government had enough sense to destroy it's nuclear arsenal before leaving office. The current post-Apartheid government and 80% majority black population is also arguably the most xenophobic in the world. In a 2006, a survey by the South African Migration Project found that South Africans are more opposed to immigration than anywhere else in the world. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in 2008 reported over 200,000 refugees applied for asylum in South Africa, almost four times as many as the year before. These people were mainly from Zimbabwe, though many also come from Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia. Competition over jobs, business opportunities, public services and housing has led to tension between refugees and host communities. Mandela's second wife, Winnie, was about the most evil person one could imagine. She was convicted of the torture and murder of a 14 year old boy whom she accused of being an informant. She was also a big fan of what is called "necklacing." A practice in which a person is wrapped in barbed-wire, place a tire over the shoulders so they can't move, the pour gasoline into the rim of the tire and set fire to it. This was who Nelson chose to marry. We can only guess that her sick violence was only part of the atrtaction. Nelson knew these things about her when he married her.

I think ( around this time) he had a lot going for him and therefore could say the most basic of things with authority. I must also add, I think he was a an above average politician and leader.

Wow... I would never have guessed people could try spin this man's story to make him look like a villain. If that's how you see him I suggest you re-evalute your morals. Because of this man, South Africa has become a free democratic society. Granted it has it's problems- but there is not a single country that doesn't. So unless you have spent 27 years in prison - come out - and completely forgiven your oppressors - you have no right to talk

Every time the West labels someone a terrorist, I cast my mind back to Nelson Mandela and work to determine for myself if that label is simply to undermine that individual's right to fight against an oppressor

That's what I thought. They have identical smile lines around their jaw, which also has the same bone structure in the lower half of their faces. Their lips are similar shape and color. Mandela had a mole on the bridge of his nose left side, and Obama has a mole left side between nose and cheek. The mole is a classic identification of these secret elite children. Their teeth are different, their eyes are different. Obama has a slimmer face, but it was kind of chubby when he was young. People do get their DNA from both parents though. She is a very good interviewer, though she asked him two stupid questions....which makes her look stupid and insensitive. One is if he is positive about the plights that are overcoming African countries. This question is meant and planned to depress and undermine even kill African SPIRIT. In reality there are no plights in most African countries. This is not true. Most Africans live a good LIFE. Do lives of Scandinavians and North Americans have LIFE??? Second, she asked him to jump!!! Who would ask that question with his right mind....and to make things worse she insisted. It's sad that Westerners don't realize their own limits.
