As a warden currently working at Pollsmoor Prison, I can tell you prison truly is like university, it's a mind boggling place that will constantly surprise and humble you, just as you think you have it figured out. Great podcast

Loved this bro, President Mandela was the best president in history. I look up to him up to this day. He may be gone but will never be forgotten. I miss president Mandela. These parties we have now and their leaders are rotten.

Wow I enjoyed it so much and thank you for reminding us again the hero we had that sacrifice so much for our country to be free. Some moments was emotional especially talking how old Mandela and the comerades was and continue not give up regardless the brutal circumstances🥺. We need more Mandela's I'm South Africa. Lots of love and support from a South African living in France and thank you to the prison gaurd speaking his truth and put his humanity first. Thank you for creating this channel so informative♥️

The most feared prisoner by the apartheid gvt was Robert Sobukwe. He was kept alone in robben island and was never allowed to mingle with any prisoner. When he was released, he was banished to Kimberly instead of his eastern cape home. He received an offer to lecture at Harvard, but the apartheid gvt refused him the passport.
