Piwakawaka! Yes! My favourite too. These little cuties will befriend you. Fluffy Bum the Piwakawaka once gifted me a cockroach plucked from my shed he even dropped it closer when I seemed unappreciative. I remained friends with Fluffy Bum he would visit and sit upon my shovel whilst I attended my tasks. True story.
I love Piwakawaka, but my favourite is the Rifleman or Titipounamu - so incredibly tiny and sweet if you do get to see them (only weighs 1/3 as much as a mouse!). I used to see them in the Catlins when I was a kid, and seen a few again now at Orokonui Ecosanctuary. Love those little guys (including the Piwakawaka) ❤
You did a good job of highlighting Nelson here. Its hinterland is fantastic, arguably the best in NZ. Slightly surprised I don't think you mentioned Jester House Cafe.
Another gorgeous video, Brittany!👍👏 You always provide such great information and guidance.💕 Nelson is truly a beautiful city, and the surroundings... wow, amazing! You captured the area beautifully. It must be hard to leave such a place behind, but we're excited to see more of your future adventures. Lots of love❤️ .
Wow I'm kind of annoyed RU-vid hasn't been recommending your channel for me lately I had to go search to find your channel and just realized I missed a bunch of uploads.
@@brittanymorgan09 Lol you're welcome I've missed watching your content, I'm excited to see all of your Australia content cause that's another country I'm considering now.
I was looking forward for this video! I lived in Nelson for half a year around 10 years ago. I just fell in love with this city and it was nice to see and hear about it now and what you would recommend 😍
Thank you, Brittany! The Wheelhouse Inn and Captains Quarters is where I've stayed the last couple of times in Nelson, and it's nice and quiet (in the suburbs on the way to Tahunanui), short walk down the hill to The Boatshed Restaurant, and the most spectacular views. All self-contained apartments with private decks, and same price as a motel! Love Founders Park too ❤ Did you ever try going to 'Little Kaiteriteri' for a swim instead of the main Kaiteriteri beach? We loved that - it was just as beautiful, but so quiet compared to the main beach!
The accomodations you recommend sound amazing!! We got our first taste of little Kaiteri yesterday and it was so lovely though we didn't have time to swim. Might have to return if we have the time! I'd like to walk up to the viewpoint overlooking the beach.
Amazing Channel I love your videos the way you explore new Zealand no one else can Thank you so much for making wonderful videos for us God bless you and your family Amen.
Awesome video. Thanks you. Will be on my bucket list. In Chinese, there is a word for it, a must clock in place or destination. (Ta Ka, Ta means put into a machine in this case, and Ka means card). I like the Farmers market, rustic, simple and an organic feel to the place.
@@brittanymorgan09 Pls show all farmers market avaialble in this region, including what time they operate and better still in the whole of South Island, Wah! ha! ha! so greedy. I want to support all these farrmers and small retailors cos they serve the community. Cheers!
@@kitty2527 Pretty much every town in NZ has a farmers market which is amazing!! They're usually on Saturdays or Sundays but Nelson always has one on Wednesdays and Saturdays. They also have a night market Thursday evenings but not many fresh food vendors there, mostly food trucks. I've found Instagram to be the best resource to find out about these spots!
Rabbit island is great my kids spent most of there summers there growing up for parents there are no shops at all which does stop the nagging for whatever
