What STUNNING coincidence! I’ve very recently stumbled upon communal living, and I feel a great desire to be in one, but am unsure about how missionary work would be done, and then this video gets posted by brother David! I believe that the Lord is preparing our hearts to dwell in a full consecration society. I have very little, and would be overjoyed to give everything to be a part of this! I believe that it will happen in my lifetime!
My ancestors, Thomas and Mary Blackburn lived in the order in Orderville and made shoes for the Saints there. He and his son, Henry, were on the Board and Henry was the Treasurer. They immigrated from England via Australia and learned how to make shoes there. I have some of the shoe-making implements used by them.

Recieving all that the Father has...I never thought that there wouldn't be enough. That if David was given all, there's none left for me. I guess I never looked at what the Father has was material possessions, but maybe joy, love and/or knowledge.
He is willing to give us both, material and spiritual. He is eternal, his resources are eternal and everlasting. There is enough and to spare - that is why the widow's oil and meal never ran out during the family - and when we give and share willingly, he gives us back again in abundance.
We are taught that all churches have truth mixed with errors, but we are the only Church that has all the truth that has been revealed, and any errors are minor and usually personal, but do not affect the Church. And we are the only Church who are encouraged to study other religions, and the only Church that can use teachings of other religions, even non Christians, in Sunday lessons. Though we definitely have to be guided by the Spirit when we do so.
David, I love your analogy of the Beehive symbol of Utah, that I've never considered before. The Beekeeper is Heavenly Father; the Queen Bee is the Saviour and the bees are the busy, diligent, hard working community of saints of the church. The Hive is the whole joyful family of God. Brilliant!
David, have you tried going to the emergency room here yet? Unfortunately that's sometimes what you have to do if you want to see a specialist before 4 to 6 weeks. Especially if you're having any symptoms of infection or anything you should go there
We don't practice the law of consecration but we have been ask to give a generous fast offering, a full tithing, I'm sure members pay a lot of money to the missionary fund as I do, and the humanitarian fund. All to help others. Plus we give our life to the Lord one day at a time in our callings and relationships. As we follow our Lord, Jesus.
Wow, the God that that we worship requires a lot of money. I see. And there's no limit is there? I mean show how much you sacrifice and how worthy you are just give it even more money give them all your money to show that you're super super in line with God.

The overwhelming conversation is that we are not yet ready for the united order. Too mortal… too flawed. But someday… perhaps in the millennium… this is how the Lords people will live.
Somehow...they lived it beautifully in Orderville for a period of about 10 years. If you can do something for 10 years...you can keep doing it, it seems to me...unless the will to keep doing it...unless one's "first love" fails. Just sayin'. I know in the Celestial Kingdom there will be no self-interest, and whatever is needed will be freely given, circulating among us freely somehow...and not a hint of "worrying about tomorrow" or "making sure I get mine". That is the life we need to get ready to live...and do our best to get ready to live it ....as much as possible...now!
@@davidmalvinalexander …. I’ve never been worried about not adjusting to life in the celestial kingdom… there’s still too much missing in my understanding of life after death. During the Millennium… Satan will be bound… I do believe this 1,000 years will be a time many will learn to be more selfless… which is required to live law of consecration… as in the United Order. It’s inspiring to know that there are people living this law beautifully though… there’s much to admire about this group.
@@davidmalvinalexanderthe nephites lived it when they circled up before the gadianton robbers attacked. They collected all their resources into one, and worked and prayed together. They outlasted the wicked robbers who mostly died of starvation, and the nephite army mopped up the rest.
I look forward to living that way with all things in common. Of course there will be learning curves but lately I've come to feel my belongings as more of a burden. Is my heart changing to be accepting of living this law? I believe so. ❤
The Order is Love! That is the title of a play that my Stake in Santa Clarita California did put on. My wife and I, played the Sorrenson family łt was so fun !
And Brigham Young didn't just send groups to settle nearby locations... I believe some were sent off to settle what is San Bernardino, California today...Also near the Mexican border!
My heart is so sure of what I KNOW, that if this order were implemented officially, I’d be thrilled to have the privilege of obeying and living the United Order. Brother Nelson, is there a way you can make that 100 page document you assembled available to the Latter-Day Saints?

It is my feeling that when these things come forth, they need to come through the church and not through me. That being said there is an amazing book about ORDERVILLE Utah called "not of the world" by Lucy Parr The Church History Library has a digital copy and owns the copyright to the book. If you go to their card catalog, you can request access to a digital copy. It might take a day or two to get access, but it is one of the most comprehensive books ever written about their community

I totally agree with you! I have thought of this often, especially when I am on my way to work and I feel that aside from being able to help Heavenly Father’s children as a medical practitioner, I feel as though I am not valued in my workplace beyond what I can offer my employer by filling in a shift. I would be all about being part of an order founded and lead by keys where all are valuable and the entire “family” succeeds because all take care of their stewardship! Amen to this!
Another interesting connection between bees and the celestial kingdom. The Hebrew term for the Holy of Hollies is Debir, which has the same three letter root 'dbr' as Deborah or honey bee. We used to live near the Amana colonies in Iowa which was a very successful Non-LDS commune for many years.

We do not live that way and never ever have . We do not live in each others house . You Can see those members were already living that way before they became members . Joseph Smith had to go teach them that they were living the wrong way . He had to teach them what it really meant . And they the guy who owned the land went back in his word . Then all the saints who came had no place to live or to go .
Actually, LInda, the history of Orderville is much different. The United Order thrived for a significant time in Orderville...and the story of that is amazing, and Brigham Young was fully supportive of Orderville and the common life that was lived there. @@davidmalvinalexander yes I would have to see that. I just do not believe we will ever be living that way . There is no need for it . Being one to me is no poor . I’m thinking in the millennium we just need all those things . We have changed bodies . We do a different kind of work . I found it in doctrine and covenants institute book . It is explained exactly how it works . Not like this . But I’m willing to read everything . I like to read anythjng and everything I can . I love learning and discerning . We are always learning .
@@davidmalvinalexander but the book must be from an approved source from the presidency . Not just some book some know it all thinks . Way too many of those books that are not approved . But I do at times read peoples opinions . Or things They know or share . I like to read the comments I and then look them up and learn more on any subject . I have pretty good discernment . I’m always willing to learn and read things
