That stinky boy strut sample from the milk tree is just a cherry on top. This whole song gives me this pseudo-80’s feel but at the same time it’s so modern. Also, Nelward Ghost Jesus playing the keyboard is a sight I won’t soon unsee. The lyrics are fantastic too. “I’m a dinosaur but I don’t believe in dinosaurs” “I’m an animal but I don’t believe in animals” It’s like a cry for help with a smile. That person uncomfortably reaching for something behind the “rad” ghost was beautiful.

I can’t tell if the song is just about being ghosted or if he’s using being ghosted as a metaphor for being treated as an outcast and ignored, which breaks down his self esteem making him not believe in himself. It’s probably just a song about being ghosted but I like to think the latter.

I rarely comment on anything but Ghost has quickly become one of my favorite songs of all time. I listen to it multiple times per day. Quick question for Nelward or anyone really. What chords would one play solo on guitar for this? I figure it starts with Dmaj7 and C#7 then F#m to E and the bass does those walking parts like E Eb D then again with the Ab to G but on those parts what chord voicings would one use? Same for the little upwards line before the first verse. It's hard for me to hear the keyboard voicings and put it together with the chunky guitar line. Any help is appreciated!
