Voice = Nasty Cold. Sorry about that! You Voted, I listened! Thanks all who voted! SkyUI is currently unstable due to the latest Bethesda Update, hence it's absence in the list. It looks like it's a waiting game for that one for now! Plenty to follow! Stay tuned!
So I skipped ahead a few steps while waiting on your video to drop and I've installed a bunch of mods including but not limited to SkyUI and some dependents. Will I need to do a fresh install again or can I just disable the mods and start a new save?
SkyUI is actually working for me without a problem so far.. I already have 80+ mods :D and the list is growing... still waiting for that FSMP update, hair and clothes physics are still broken :/.. author said it should update it later today or tommorow... and 1st time using animations from Verolevi.. with TDM Skyrim feels like a brand new game
@@FightEagleVideos usually you should be good.. sort load order and if you installed all other required mods and fixes for main mods you wanted, you should be fine... and new game/save is the best way after "finishing" your mod list.. tho most mods can be installed mid playthrough
@@anthooktt1403 Me too until I try to install almost anything else. I also have about 90 mods/patches right now. Trying to install any community shaders, hunterborn mcm (hunterborn works but not mcm), wet and cold, etc. so far causes constant crashes. I was able to disable those and the game is stable so far.
man. youre legend. i aint kidding. ive modded and uninstalled game since 2023 and never found a proper guide until this. literally every single detail you covered here. i thank you and youve my subscription now
Really appreciate these videos. I've tried using modpacks before but too many issues and not enough support from others so I wanted to try learning on my own. I like how these videos are bite sized pieces of info that I can work on when they get uploaded so I don't try to do too much and overwhelm myself with modding in one sitting.
Thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate it. I’m glad these are helpful for you! That was definitely the aim so it’s nice to see it’s well received! :-)
I really love these videos. Recently came back to modding the game and you provide a good refresher for the anniversary edition of the game, clear and to the point.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate you :-) MO2 can look daunting at first but it’s actually incredibly user friendly and within a very short space of time it will all make sense. I have a playlist all about MO2 on my channel which covers every aspect of the application for first time users if you ever fancy the change. It’s a change I made and I’ll never look back
5 episodes into this guide and now i can see how i've had no idea how to install mods properly and having over 350 mods a few years ago on my old laptop working well must have been a miracle lol . Either that or i just forget and have to re learn modding every few years when i come back to the game
ADHDecnt, I just stopped following your Modding Skyrim in 2024 guide, on part 7 to take the time to like each part and to say to you, your guide is hands down the best I have ever seen on RU-vid. Amazing job on putting the tutorials together! Thank you so much for the time and effort! You have more than earned a subscriber, I will also be sending some coins your way. I wish I could shake your hand and buy you a cold one or two.
your videos are easily some of the most helpful i've ever seen when it comes to skyrim modding; i hope you make a video like this dedicated to essential skyrim combat mods! there's so many, but they require *a lot* of plug-ins and trouble shooting to work
I really appreciate your support thank you! Means a lot! And yes, it’s in the works as we speak! :-) it’s incredibly complex and has required many hours already due to its complexity. I know why guides on combat don’t exist now aha
Thank you for going through this from the start. It's helpful to have a reference to check you have everything in place, as I'm sure the greatest majority of us are not professional modders or coders. I would like to point out a different starting mod, "Alternate Perspective". I like this mod as it is much closer to the vanilla game. I've run the start on 4 occasions and it's been solid. No crashes. The only issue I had with it was when I caused a conflict with meshes from another mod. Which is in general the bane of my modding life and I've learnt not to download AiO as you can't control versions for patches with other mods. As soon as you get to describing how to create a patch I'll watch that guide over and over again, pin it, stick it in my bookmarks and use it.
I’m glad I can help! This series will continue covering as many elements as possible along with mod selections. Lover’s Lab is unlikely to be covered Im afraid due to the restrictions the video would receive from RU-vid as a result of the nature of the mods but there’s plenty of other areas that will be :-)
Thank you so much for the guide! Every time I mod Skyrim I just mess everything up because I just don't know what is needed in the vast sea of mods on nexus so I just go crazy. Love seeing a detailed guide and hope you'll do some more on other must have or recommended mods!
Dude, I am LOVING this guide. I have modded in the past but this has taught me SO MUCH and your videos themselves are so easy to watch and follow. In fact, I posted on r/skyrimmods just to shout you out and this playlist.
Great job putting these videos together. I could be wrong but rather than restarting MO2 as you do towards the end, I think you can just hit F5 to refresh the list. Tends to work for me at least.
@luizmonsores6454 thank you I really appreciate you. It’s hard to break out of the mindset when you’re determined but I’ll be sure to try :-) means alot
I decided to do a clean install because I wanted to reorganize things in my mod list since I plan on maybe making some custom player homes and custom outfits. Anyway, I got to this point and Nemesis either kept going through a cycle of needing engine updates due to changes in files for mods I didn't even have the box for the patch ticked or have that mod installed or just gave errors for mods I wasn't planning on using but if I got rid of that mod folder in Nemesis it be a different folder coming up with the issue. So I guess I'll see how Pandora goes.
Love this series and how easy it is to understand every little detail to modding Skyrim! Will you by any chance be uploading a tutorial video for any ENBs or lighting overhauls for Skyrim? I always found those tricky and confusing, as well as Dyndolod
Thanks for these videos. I was just starting to get into building a new Skyrim mod list. Though I'm wary of Cutting Room Floor and Weapons Armor and Clothing fix. They often require an outrageous number of patches depending on how you mod your game.
For anyone having this issue, he skips over "enable" kind of quickly. You need to go over to the left box, and tick the box called Project New Reign - Nemesis.
I'd add a mention to the alternate start mod that it's really not optional if you plan on getting crazy with the mods. A lot of mods can break the long cart ride, making it impossible to actually start the game, making the alternate start very useful. I know I can't be the only one looking at these guides thinking to myself "eh I probably won't need that one".
I'm sorry I must be missing something, but I follow the walkthroughs step by step. The first time I did it nothing worked, besides skse and the anniversary content picker, so I deleted everything and started over completely from scratch. Still, it does not work and there are steps that my mod organizer has that yours does not display or vice versa, also being on windows 11 it's hard to follow along because there are certain things that I have to jump through hoops to accomplish that you don't have to do because you're on windows 10 :(
I member the days when I had to keep the .rar FIles of the mod to keep track of them ahhh.... Fun times. Btw, I still have a functionning Nmm Installation and I refuse to delete it, I spent too much time on it xD
Omg!!! Just bought the anniversary edition...hope to have a great experience with the mods too!! Two little this.. Didnt find the fnis plugin and My cutting room didn't got purple but, i've installed de patch anyway
When you sort, it'll tell you if there's a compatibility patch regardless, but you should be sorting often anyway to make sure your load order isn't going to crash on startup.
Thank you so much for your motivational words. Really means the world to me! I believe I have managed it before and am looking into it again for the most recent update. If I can get it working it will be covered in this series :)
Many thanks for this tutorial. Everything I did worked just fine, can't wait to start proper modding ;). Quick question: I already had a save game, but now I've completed your steps I can't load my save game in-game anymore. Any idea why that is? Who can help me? :)
Appreciate your kind words thank you. Saved games may or may not work with new mod builds. When starting afresh always assume the previous saves cannot be used
I was having issues with: XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended - XPMSSE I had to turn "Adult Content" by hovering over pfp in the top right > site preferences > content blocking and it was the first setting there. Hope this helps if anyone else has this issue.
Having a minor issue: there is no FNIS.ESP dummy plug in, any solutions? Love the tutorial video btw! very informative and straight to the point. PLUS details on how they work and load order is amazing thank you!!
Appreciate it thank you! Check Nemesis is enabled in mod pane click refresh on the toolbar across the top Ensure you’ve updated the engine and then launched
@ADHDecent I'm experiencing this issue as well. Not only that, but when I run Nemesis with the top 'Run' button in MO2, press Update Engine and Launch Nemesis Behavior Engine in the pop-up window, it says, "Changes in file detected. Engine update is required to be performed" after I clicked Update Engine, even after I clicked the refresh button on the top toolbar. That's why the FNIS.esp isn't showing up in the plugins. So why is Nemesis saying it hasn't been updated when I launch the behavior engine right after I update the engine? It even shows the same exact version code as your's. I followed your steps carefully. Is there anything I'm missing?
@@davisharper6704 Not sure if you were able to fix it, but I found a reddit post that by changing "Project New Reign - Nemesis Unlimited Behavior Engine" to Nemesis in MO2 caused the Engine to properly update and fixed the issue for me.
It certainly looks promising. IIRC it wasn’t available or only on Patreon (something like that) when I began writing but whichever it was it meant it wouldn’t make the series this time around with enough time to test. Then we had 1170 which was trouble as it was anyway 😂. Provided its smooth sailing from here onwards (not error free just not painful) then it’ll be the one used from now on :-)
The finis tick box isn't even present after running nemesis and going into the plugins list... Is that a redundant or removed feature? because I can't find it anywhere in the plugins. Only the XPMSE esl and the race menu plug in stuff are there.
Solution is in the comments: @Hadrian9707 4 months ago Checking the boxes for RaceMenu and XP32 in the left column, then updating and launching Nemesis Engine again fixed this problem for me.
Thank you ADHDecent this is one of, if not, the best modding video yet. I recently down loaded Skyrim SE and it had just had an update and the Project New Reign - Nemesis Unlimited Behavior Engine and XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended mods are nor catagorised as 'Immersion' obviously I need to create a new separator, but do you know where in the sequence it should go? Many thanks mate. AJ
I know how to do this, what I don't know how to do optimally is change the keyword of the weapons so that the animation corresponds. I know how to do it from the cration kit but it is very slow and tedious
Nemesis isn’t appearing in the executable toolbar when installed, Attempting to manually add it results in ‘exception caught. Directory couldn’t locate “mods\”.’
Wish you explained the mods that are necessary and what they do vs. personal recommendations and mods that would be necessary only if you plan on doing certain things. You say install nemesis along with other mods but when I look at these on nexus I'm thinking I don't need this cus I don't plan on messing with animations or npc behaviors. Running a lower end PC so I'm trying to avoid anything I don't 100% need outside of the mods I do want.
You gotta link to the mods no? Like, Useful and all, but the wrong versions keep coming up. Eaiser if you put the links in the description, but maybe you can't do that, I dunno. Would be helpful to me.
Okay so as far as I can tell it's two very different animation systems that don't necessarily interact. OAR coming with a suite of features for only it, and Nemesis doing something similar. Nemesis seems quite straightforward and handily seems to be fire and forget in nature. Update it, Run it, profit. OAR is more frustrating in my opinion. The overlay it utilises displays all the information necessary to achieve your goal, I'm just not techy enough yet to fiddle with it and achieve predictable results. I installed some additional Idles for example and could not get the animations to fire off, meanwhile my character is scratching their head which I remember is an animation added by one of the mods in the guide. I have searched for more information here on RU-vid and the video I've found hasn't necessarily helped. I'm going to keep watching other videos aiming to improve my understanding of what's going on with OAR.
I followed your steps one by one since first video. Then I tried to download nemesis. I had to change settings to link it to nexus. I installed nemesis. Not only now it does not open MO2, only the uninstaller, but I do not even have chrome anymore, wtf😢
Thank you! I was looking for modding guide for quite some time now but all I could find was outdates posts. But here's another question: does it work on already played saves? Or is there some way you could explain how to move exsisting saves into modded game?
I had the same issue. I was trying to open nemisis from SKSE in mod organizer. make sureyou switch the drop down to nemesis and click the run button. Idk if this helps but it worked for me
This is incredible, thank you! One question. I do not get the FNIS.esp file. I've followed the instructions so far to an absolute T, so I'm hoping this is due to updated files and is no longer a necessary step?
2:28 plugins doesn't have Finisesp option.. Did everything exactly in the video has there been a new update or something for so that you don't need it? Edit: I ran Nemesis again it showed up.. phew
Thanks for this detailed guide. I've been following this step by step. I ran into a problem: The FNIS.esp does not show up in my plugins list. Can I keep going? XPMS has listed this as required.
Isn’t Alternate start supposed to be at the bottom of the load order or it can be just below ussep? Will you also include mods that provide stability & crash fixes? Helpful tutorial btw I’ve been following it since part 1🎉
Thank you so much for your kind words I really appreciate you! And yes, technically. As we grow the mod list it will likely be moved down the list if/when we install mods that change the Helgen quest saga if you will. The load order will change as mods are applied. It’s why you won’t find any “this is the load order” style videos around. Because it really isn’t that simple sadly. But, it’s worth putting it up with the key game changes for now so we can keep track :-)
What about what game version we should use and everything that goes along with it like downgrading and etc? Since the newest update has alot of people straight up quitting playing altogether.
@@ADHDecent Just a request for a possible future series or video in general since alot of the big mods haven’t been updated to this version. And some that probably never will. Alot if not most pc players seem to be playing on older versions.
My nemesis engine will not start. It keeps saying there are new files and that I need to update the engine though there are no new files and I have updated the engine. Idk what to do.
Sorry for being a noob, but I'm gonna be honest, I LOVE the way this tutorial series has been made, but are these Race menu mods and NEMESIS absolutely nesessary? I dont want huge breasts and flawless features, I just want the game to look graphically impressive compared to 2011, and some gameplay tweaks or whatever. But I want the basics of the game the remain the same > controls, animations, character creation, combat. Perhaps some new spell animations or what have you? Thanks for clearing, these video's are the best!
Appreciate the support thank you. Nemesis is all for animation mods so if you're not looking to change anything related to character movements then these aren't needed. As for RaceMenu, we haven't installed anything yet to change the characters appearance in any way so that's not a worry.
@@ADHDecent great, because I looked at nexus images for racemenu and they already looked like fashion dolls. Thank you for your reply, im going to follow the entire Guide these coming days 😀
@jasperdegraaf5254 don't worry this series won't be covering those of a more enhanced nature shall we say. There will be some appearance mods but all are chosen to enhance the game and not change it
yeah literally step 1. isnt working :/ ..... i click mod managerdownload and nothing happens its forcing me to open it through vortex which makes no sense to me...
Start by going into your game's folder, which can usually be found under steam/steamapps/common/skyrim Once you've done that, locate the Mod Organizer folder and go into it. Once there, locate the executable named "nxmhandler" and open it. Once in there, it should already have located Skyrim, but if it has not, then help it on it's way and locate it. After that, you simply click on it once and clicks on the button saying "register active". This fixed my problem and I hope it fixes yours!
Followed all steps and ended up with the most broken game, I fall through the floor as soon as the game starts and my character creation is invisible, spent 2 hours following and it doesnt work for me. So frustrating.
Could you make a video showing how to get a controller to work with skse through mod orgainzer 2? my controller isnt working for the life of me orginazer
You specifically state at 1:18 "This will require EITHER Nemesis OR Finis" please explain how it's possible to have a plug-in to activate, that was NEVER downloaded based upon your own instructions during the installation process? I'm sorry, there's issues on nearly every step and I'm following what your saying verbatim.
After Updating the engine and attempting to launch nemesis. It says there was a file change and an engine update is required, but even after I update again I get the same issue. Anyone know a fix or had this happen to them?
Your 5 tuto are so good and so helping for begginner like me, today it's the first time something don't go like you, the finis.esp don't appears after Nemesis launch, do you have an idea about the problem ? Thanks, and have a nice day
I'm sorry to bother you one last time but I need fixed SSE Engines for certain mods but my game crashes at startup, would you have thought in which category to put the mod? Thanks for your help , @@ADHDecent
Thank you for this video, I have been wanting to mod Skyrim for a long time now! When I download Nemesis it is missing everything under 'temp_behaviors', any idea why?
Hey legends. I am at "2.28 FNIS install. It wont install or go into the Plugin window. I have to as we usually do, run FNIS for Users etc.... so I am not sure what I am missing by not doing the FNIS thing here where he puts it into its on app, mine just wont allow me to launch or do anything with it. So I assume that really doesnt matter as I will just run it every now and then when needed outside this program anyway?. Any thoughts on if this is ok or if im missing something?. I downloaded and followed all steps as presented up to this point.
Thanks for the video!! Quick question- what’s your thoughts on Skyrim 202X downgrade? And does it conflict with JK’s Skyrim? I’m Still a newbie with the l texture layers and ordering 😅
Love everything so far as it's helping me so much with getting modding down but I get to this point everytime and have issues loading the game with people t-posing. I have nothing else downloaded besides Racemenu, Nemesis and XP32. when I disable XP32 i'm able to play again. Any help?
SMIM is identified by MO2 as "not valid". Internet says it's due to being a FOMOD installer. You didn't mention that before this point, does it matter?
Hi I am doing this right now as of 1 february and the Cutting Room Floor is not highlighted to purple. Is there a possibility that the Arthmoor's Patch Pack is no longer required or is it just some mistake on my part ?
