This man knows how a tutorial is supposed to work - guiding the audience through a 'click-by-click' basis, skipping or glossing over nothing, and best of all - he assumes we are all clueless about what we're doing, which 99.99% of us are! I will never understand why you dont have more. When I first got into modding Skyrim, I wastched so many of your videos. In your videos everything is so clearly explained. You don't rush through things or assume everyone has the same knowledge. Thank You for your work.
Every time I want to mod and play Skyrim again, your tutorials help me set everything up again and remind me of how things work or teach me something new. These new videos are especially helpful as it seems much has changed in the year or so since I last played.
You have no idea how crazy I was going, I had just built a new computer so I had to redownload all the mods and such, and nothing worked when I opened with skse, and turns out, the problem was that I had to copy the contents from the zipped files directly and NOT unzip the file. I had entirely forgotten that I was supposed to do that, so this helped me so much. Also, the fact that you are very clear and to the points with the steps helped a lot so future new modders will definitely love this!
Hi gamerpoets, it's been 2 years of my modding journey and you were the one who helped me getting started. Now I've got some cool combat mods, even heavily modded the graphic and got like 400 modlist and i really enjoy my gaming experience in skyrim. Now skyrim for me is like modding the game to my liking and play new content dlc from modders. It's been quite a journey from learning that MO2 is just better performance than vortex, installing SKSE, and I still remember when i was learning FNIS from you and now we got pandora engine behavior. It was quite a journey learning with you, thank you really!

when I first modded skyrim almost 2 years ago you were the man the guided me thro how to install stuff and now I am getting that skyrim ich again and of course the mad man has an up to date SKSE install for Vortex, nice one my dude hope you have a great day :)
Thanks for a quick and concise tutorial! While I didn't need the instructions on how to install SKSE myself. It's always good to have a refresher :). I did not know about creating an ini for it, so thanks for that. There is always something to takeaway from your videos! Great Work as usual Michael!
Along with skse, there's also BETHINI which allows you to tweak the ini file without much trouble. Everyone playing skyrim or going to play should be familiar with this magical wand called BETHINI. Great video BTW 🎉

Yeah im not sure what to do anymore. After deleting arthamoors annoying mod so i could have back some of the unnecessary changes he made, i went about deleting the small few mods i had that relied on it and for some reason proventus was hit with the vanilla bug that prevents him from selling breezhome. Never got the dialog for it. After trying consol commands and every possible fix i could find i decided to purge my mods, and do a fresh install of skyrim to see if that would fix it. Now every time i boot the game up, the rest of my mods work fine but skse, skyui, strange runes and ecotone dual sheath keep giving me an error. I have the most up to date version of skse but trying to launch the game from the exe loader keeps saying the skyrim executable isnt found. So now im effectively screwed on ever playing skyrim again.
Question: do you intend to do some of those updated tutorial videos on Fallout 4 as well? i mean, considering it's back in trendings because of the series and all. I wanted to play it with mods but it seems that Fallout 4 guides on the internet are quite old and few use MO2, so i would really like if you made one. Thanks for the video as always
thanks for doing this Btw just downloaded fallout after a year to mod it again because of the show then update hit me like a truck i think downgrading Fsks4 using steam is a good video idea unless updated to it dosent break any old mod (if its like AE it will miss up all the mods before it )
Hey, great video, makes this stuff easy to understand. Unfortunately I'm still stuck. My game version is 1.6.1170.0, but it's the downgraded version of the GOG game. MO2 is auto detecting SKSE(for 1.6.1170.0, not GOG's 1179), which I dragged to my folder just like I saw in this video, but I'm not able to detect SKSE version, despite launching through SKSE perfectly fine. I also installed the game as per your instructions of the clean installation video. I'm really new to all this so I probably missed something small tbh
I'm a little asleep and may misunderstand. If you have 2 versions of skse on your pc (multiple game installs) go into mo2. Modify executables. Select skse and you'll see its file path. Change that path to the other skse install.
@@gamerpoets sorry I can be a bit wordy and get confusing lol. I only have the 1 skse version. The Binary is "C:\File\skse64_loader.exe" and it starts in "C:\File" which is also where SkyrimSE is located, along with the GOG setup/patch files. Arguments is blank
@@gamerpoets Turns out, apparently downgrading the GOG version of 1.6.1170 doesn't function with SKSE, so unless you already have offline backup files of an earlier version, you're stuck with 1.6.1179

Your vids are good as usual but that last Fallout 4 stupid update or I call it downdate broke everything I used a mod to fix everything called Downgrader worked perfectly
It doesn't load for me. I have it on Vortex, and everything seems fine until I try to run it. It shows the Bethesda logo and then just quits the game and won't load
I'm on the OG version of skyrim and SKSE says to install the latest anniversary build, but that's for build 1.6.1170 My build won't seem to go higher than 1.3.22.0 I don't understand what's going on
I've been having issues getting skse to work for version 1.5.97. Is that version of the game no longer playable? Skse seems to work fine when i use the current version '1.6.1170' or even when i downgrade to '1.6.1130', but as soon as i downgrade to 1.5.97 or 1.6.640 it doesn't work. I am making sure to use the right versions of skse with each version from their page so not sure what the issue is.
@gamerpoets I see you dont take the extra step to archive the Data folder and install it manually as a mod to prevent the scripts from being overwritten. Is it not necessary anymore?

So, when i run LOOT, it says it appears you've installed Skyrim script extender but its required scripts are missing, i deleted and reinstalled skyrim and it worked, i fucked up something and had to do it all over again but when i uninstalled and reinstalled skyrim, the same LOOT message popped up and now im lost idk what im doing anymore
"Has SKSE stopped working?" Insert bitter comment about Bethesda pushing a needless update here. How dare they modify their intellectual property without my consent! ;)

I’m having a problem where the moment I launch the game, it’ll display the logo and start the soundtrack then just immediately crash. I’m new to modding so i am unsure if it’s on my part or the game
Crashes on start up can be from a few things. Mods that aren't compatible. Mods missing master files. Mod versions that don't match the game version. I downloaded skse per instructed and theres like 100 things in there not 5 and no folders. I also dont have a mod manager or know how to use one. :( When i try to copy the files over it says the file extension is too long.
Good ole Mondays = ) I'm just starting to mod again a little. That's why the videos that are coming out, are coming out. Me updating stuff as I do my own load order (which has no mods yet lol)

Brother I'm having many issues with this. I am using vortex. I have all the correct versions of everything installed. I have SKSE in the correct spot. When I go to launch it says cannot find SkyrimSE.exe. how is that even possible lol
