Definitely prefer nemesis, it’s my favourite UK coaster plus when you get back to back rides on the back row at night for the last trains if the day at scarefest it’s so sick.
@@blank3078 I didn't say Inferno was less intense, but the original Nemesis feels more wild and unpredictable. The coaster seems to have a life of its own, and I don't get that from Inferno.
@@blank3078 we're fine to disagree. Personally, I'm drawn to dark themes, and I try to overlook roughness in a coaster, especially one that is getting old.
@@blank3078 it's being retracked soon so won't be rough no more, but wonder would inferno get a retrack when and if it reaches the same age or will Thorpe just remove it?

Personally, I rank Nemesis way higher than Inferno - I’m mainly basing that off some rough rides on Inferno in 2020, but also Nemesis’ terrain usage and it’s bone crushing intensity 💀
Good old nemmi will always be my favourite, the helix into the go roll melts my fave every time, and it’s visually stunning, you can look anywhere in the nemesis area and you get an incredible view, inferno is still sick tho and always catches me off gard with the corkscrew into the helix
I genuinely love queueing for nemesis.its just so visually appealing. Nemesis made me an enthusiast and it made me overcome my fear of inversions and now I'm obsessed with inversions
Nemesis Inferno has a really special place in my heart thanks to the people I was riding with but I'll have to see till I go to towers and ride Nemesis
I prefer Inferno of the original Nemesis. I went to Thorpe Park first before Alton Towers & pretty much grew up with Nemesis Inferno. Nemesis does have a great layout & utilities the terrain really well, but Inferno's the one for me. I don't understand why it gets so much hate, it shouldn't be compared given the fact that it gives it's own unique experience & in it's own merit is still a great ride.
I love them both and to decide I tried to work out which had the best element in their layout. Oh they're practically all the same. Ahhhh I see it now. Yep this is it... Nemesis Helix > 2 dead and forceless inferno helix's.
Hello There, great video, I personally prefer Nemesis as it does definitely have better theming through including that interaction with the Terrain, plus it has some great off-ride interaction. However Nemesis Inferno does have quite a decent amount of interaction and if all the effects are working it can make it a very immersive experience. Cheers Peter :)
Original Nemesis for me 1) the theme is unique along with storyline 2) the surrounding and terrain is amazing! In my opinion they should change the name of Inferno to make it's own thing instead of using the original Nemesis appeal and history unless they are smart and could link the storylines together
INFERNO, BECAUSE ITS RED!!! no but seriusly I rode both rides probably within the same week, and I think inferno is slightly better just because it feels faster. if for axample nemesis was not dug into the ground but had the same layout, i dont even think there would be a debate because the close interaction with the terrain deffinatly adds a lot to nemesis.... but in terms of the ride inferno is the king for me.
It has to be the original nemesis for me. As I feel the themeing and being dug into the ground is so much better. It feel so much more intense too. Not saying inferno is a bad ride though. As inferno has is one of the best UK rides in the dark.
I'm not sure if I prefer Nemesis or Nemesis Inferno, the original has amazing terrain, though the start of Nemesis Inferno is great with the pre-lift section. I need to ride the original again as I went on it quite a long time ago.
nemesis is just way better than inferno. Inferno is fast, but nemesis just picks up some mad speed and the inversions are way more intense and nemesis' helix is very very forceful and the roar of her is just amazing. Nemesis > Nemesis Inferno.
I think nemesis needs a retrack. Despite it being painted yellow, you can still kind of see where it’s getting a bit worn. Where you make it through the first inversion, there is graffiti on the track. There is also a lot of rust in certain places of the ride. I know it looked worse before 2016, but when they gave it the repaint when the 2016 season started, you can see that they haven’t taken the rust off, and they’ve just put paint over it. Same with inferno, when the ride first opened, it was a dark red colour, but the colour has came off a lot. From what I’ve heard, merlin bought 3 B&M coasters. One being the new ride that’s being built at chessington, but the other two aren’t confirmed. There has been a lot of speculation about retracks with nemesis and nemesis inferno. The last time I rode nemesis was at the end of the 2021 season, to be honest, the ride is begging for a retrack LOL. Inferno might be getting a retrack but no one has really talked about inferno. Also, I like both rides. I gotta say though, nemesis inferno has a very forceful first inversion. When you go through the zero g roll, you can easily pass out on there. When I first went on inferno, the first inversion made me pass out.
I went on inferno last year during the summer and as alton towers is my local park iv acquired a great love for nemesis but I went on it with an open mind, however I do still prefer nemesis I think inferno is a lot smoother as it is newer but I just feel like it doesn't offer you much more then what you can get out of another B&M coaster where as nemesis i feel does give you a different experience with just the terrain and intensity alone. I think I would like nemesis more as inferno isn’t my type of ride even tho I’ve only ridden neme but inferno has really fast paced inversions and I like more floaty inversions and one of the best inversion I’ve had is either the 2nd loop on millennium or one of smilers 3265 dive loops
I not sure but I might prefer nemesis. The drop before doing to loop in nemesis is insane and the scenery on nemesis is rlly good, however the layout of inferno is good as well and for the opportunities of soviniers -I think that’s how u spell it- inferno is better for that type of stuff because nemesis is to wrapped around the wildlife. I’m sorry that was so long your probs not gonna see this though so I’m probably wasting my time
I much prefer the original Nemesis because it’s more forceful but another reason is because I go to Thorpe park a lot so nemesis inferno feels less special than nemesis
I’ve never been to gangster granny last two times I went it was closed then last time I went me and my friend didn’t go over their and my friend went on Rita before we went on spin jam is so good
Nemesis Is better because it has has much better theming and it's more OG and if u disagree jump off a microwave in all seriousness tho inferno is just got red track an different theme tune.. and a couple red rocks. And tbh nemesis has a real Story and then it's got that epic monster. They are both good rides but IMO I love nemesis more. But nemi inferno is still a strong ride. I feel nemesis was nerfed from the start because of the height limit. Hope you like my opinion. Both are good. But I prefer normal nemesis.
Nemesis I love nemesis, it is the first, an incredible theme, it is shorter, has a bigger drop and goes underground, Doesn't need to be tall to be good, and better soundtrack Still both great rides though!
There was quite a few facts I mentioned that got cut out purely because the video was dragging out - I think that was one of them so yeah maybe should've kept it in 😅😂
Nemesis because it keeps it’s speed. I am sure that opinions depends on good rides on them. If you do Grand national car 2 row 1 followed by infusion second to back row. You won’t find it rough. And that’s why I think infusion is better than The swarm
Inferno to me feels like a bit of an after thought for when they turned Thorpe into a thrill park (I might be wrong, still a decent ride though). Nemesis on the other hand looks like so much more effort went into it and was designed to be the best at the time (which probably wasn’t as much of a focus for inferno)
