Hazuki is such a technician on guitar. I would recommend watching some of her videos for Ibanez where she demos guitars and effects. She plays a few Steve Vai-esque instrumentals that are 2-4 minutes long and beautiful. One of my favorite Nemophila solos from her is on "Blooming". Its not really technically complex, but I just love the phrasing. You can tell she put a lot of thought into every note. Its superb 😙🤌

Cool, Jeremy, you hung in there and got to hear Saki in her translator role! She personally handles a lot of Nemophila’s Eng subtitles herself so thanks for sticking around to appreciate her efforts!😄💪🏻🤘🏻

oh yes great way to start SHREDurday! By the way Jeremy the beginning of this song you have heard before at least a small bit. The Dallas jam you saw. they started with Iron Maiden the Trooper then they did the medley jam of a few of their songs and Fighter was the first song they started off with. Its a great and fun song. Like all their songs . 😉🤘🤘

You got distracted by the synth and missed the moment (just after 1 minute into the MV) when Hazuki was so busy headbanging that she missed her backing vocal cue and nearly face-butted her mic. Hara-chan laughs her ass off at her and you can actually hear the laugh really low in the mix.
@musicaconqueror5477
@musicaconqueror5477 Год назад
The laugh is at 1:06. Only whose? In the comments under Fighter, someone writes that it's Hazuki laughing. The recording shows that both of them are laughing, but one of them is probably silent. Hazuki's evolutions in front of the microphone are fun to watch from 1:04 by moving the frames "." or backwards ",".

Saki speaks English very well. Her interview with Herman Li is a good example. So fun watching this band grow as I have followed them since there 1st upload on RU-vid The Trooper. In the OG days Saki would herself close caption announcements and song lyrics herself.

I actually had the privilege of speaking to Saki for about 10 mins, after a show in Austin. She wanted to know how to get to Stevie Ray Vaughns statue. Very nice lady. She will start laughing over nothing..lol. l Haraguchi San wanted to know a good place to eat. She's the foodie. She wanted to try real Texas BBQ and brisket. Thats what Saki said she said anyway..lol.Told her she's my favorite bassist. She got red faced and kinda teary eyed. Said thank you a lot. Shes the most emotional one., and the goofiest. Saki said I was the first fan away from Japan to tell her that. Tamu was very nice, her english is probably the 2nd best in the band. Hazuki was very nice to, but she's the quiet one I think. Mayu was off doing a interview somewhere. They were surprised I knew some Japanese. I lived In Sasebo and Yokosuka for 6 years while I was in the Navy. They are just normal ladies, who can kick ass on stage. Oh FYI. Saki will talk to you. But, better be on you're best behavior, she don't put up with rudeness at all. Was really a pleasure to have that chance. Got a nice photo with them. Saki was surprisingly taller than I expected.

Hazuki and Tamu can speak some English but it is Saki who speaks the most English. Saki can also speak Mandarin Chinese since it was her major at university. Not sure if she is still fluent because its been over a decade since she graduated and I suspect not much use for Mandarin except for maybe brushing up on Kanji.

You can’t do a shredder week without the Guitar Girls Collection from Naon-Yaon. I was reminded of the videos by another commenter on the last video I watched. I’d provide the link, but RU-vid deletes them. I like the 2017 version the most. Your challenge is to identify as many musicians as possible. They’re all wonderful.

@@musikbyjh I’m back and not an expert, but the Naon-Yaon annual festival is produced by Kieko Terrada, the vocalist of Show-Ya. I went to this venue for a concert in 2023, but not a Naon-Yaon festival. It is designed to support female acts in Japan from the Rock/Metal genre. Many groups including Nemophila have performed. They normally have a section of the famous guitarists from each group performing together. I’ve also seen them highlight the premiere vocalists together. It’s now on my bucket list. 2017 was before Nemophila existed, but you have two members performing here. I’m still not able to identify everyone, but I’m working on it.

Can that give me a link? First some information. WORLD GUITAR GIRLS COLLECTION concert (as part of the NAONのYAON festival) Held for the first time in 2017. The organizer is Saki (Mary's Blood, Nemophila). It consists in the fact that 5 famous guitarists play themes from well-known pieces. 2017 was Western songs, 2019 Japanese. In the same formula, a concert was also held (someone wrote that there were more) at a different time in the hall (2017-07-14 CLUB CITTA' KAWASAKI). I don't know why named Vol.0. There is no video from 2018, which is a pity, because the guest of the concert was HAL-CA. The 2020 festival did not take place (COVID). Instead (Keiko organized the spin-off SHOW-YAとNAON). In August and September, there were 2 paid streamed concerts with would-be participants of the festival + in November, a streamed concert of Keiko Terada - Gaharic Spin - Nemophila. Of course, WORLD GUITAR GIRLS COLLECTION was not there. In 2021, the festival was held in the amphitheater, but the concerts were without audience participation. WGGC was organized in 2017 by Saki and Ryo Fujio, a producer at Naon no Yaon. WGGC gigs have not only been played at NnY but also at clubs-I've seen nearly all the WGGC shows live. In July and Nov. 2017 they played Club Citta in the city of Kawasaki, near Tokyo. The July show featured the bands Cyntia and Mary's Blood, followed by WGGC. The Nov. show was an all-star jam produced by and featuring Keiko Terada of Show-Ya among others, again followed by WGGC. Hal-Ca of Asterism not only played WGGC at NnY in 2018 she also took part in the WGGC show at Club Shibuya WWW in Aug. of that year. Other WGGC gigs have been at various clubs in Tokyo in the Shibuya and Shinjuku districts, in Oct. and Dec. 2018 and Feb. 2019. The Dec. 2018 show at Club Asia in Shibuya had both women and men guitarists but I missed that one. The setlists for the club shows have been as at NnY, largely Western and Japanese rock and metal classics. The "Vol. 0" show Musica refers to is the July 2017 Club Citta gig. (The backing band for that show was men, including the above-mentioned Ryo Fujio.)

I'm no expert in the Japanese language, but I believe Hazuki is actually pronounced "Haaz-key" with the U being silent. Perhaps some Japanese speakers can confirm (or refute) my claim? At the end of the live version of "Oiran" at the Naon Yaon 2021 show, when Mayu introduces the other members, she pronounces Hazuki this way. It's an excellent version of the song if you haven't caught it yet.
@DragonPhlyy

I could be wrong to but when you hear Mayu call her that I think its her nick name? Because Mayu also calls Saki Chucky.
@daveminers3404
@daveminers3404 Год назад
@@DragonPhlyy Most of Saki's friends call her Chucky, don't they? In the Oiran video Mayu introduces Saki as Saki, so ??? I've always wondered about the pronunciation of Hazuki since, in WWE, the wrestler Asuka is pronounced Aus-ka. Then I heard Mayu in Oiran. Some time after that I read someone's YT comment somewhere that said Hazuki is pronounced Haaz-key, along with some other similar Japanese names and also explained why, based on the Japanese language. Of course, to a simpleton like me, the reasoning was all blah, blah, blah. I hope to hear from someone who knows for sure.
@tomonyosuke
@tomonyosuke Год назад
In Japan, when her name is written in English, it is Hazuki, but the pronunciation is Haz'ki. By the way, if you write it in kanji, it will be two letters, and the meaning is leaf/moon.
@otobokegaijin6218
@otobokegaijin6218 Год назад
The "u" in "Hazuki" is often devoiced, but it and the preceding consonant count as a mora (syllable) in phonology and as a metrical beat in poetry. In properly enunciated speech and poetic recitation it's clearly voiced. As explained in another reply, the kanji characters for "Hazuki" are "leaf" and "moon". "Hazuki" is an autumn season-word in haiku poetry. It refers to the 8th month of the old East Asian luni-solar calendar, and can be used for August in the modern calendar-Hazuki the guitarist was born in August. In the old calendar the 8th month was considered part of autumn.
