look at how they were standing facing the drums. this awesome and emotional song was for drummer tamu´s newborn. this band is the the real thing, their comraderie is amazing too.

Every one filled you in on the tears Tamu had to practise this for the live show but had no idea they were all going to talk about her coming back after the baby and then all turn and play and sing to her those tears are joy and emotion There a special bunch .The second vocals are Hazuki she showed how good she is harmonizing with Mayu on one of the resent covers Hara and Saki all join in as well its unusual to have a band where there all good singers .

Check out the lyric video's. The lyrics are very powerful. The girls were all crying because Saki, the guitarist on the right of screen made a speech to the drummer Tamu welcoming her back after having a baby. They seem to be a close knit group of ladies.

Pretty much everyone else has touched on most of this already, so sorry for any redundancy... Although the song is an emotional song about picking yourself up and fighting on when Life knocks you down, it wasn't really what the tears were about - and in fact most of the tears actually came from the introduction before the song even started (but was spliced in out of chronological order over top of the guitar solo). Although the actual audio track in the video is probably the studio version, the video footage came from an online concert they streamed a year ago this month, the first of four solo online shows they have done to date (they've also done two collaborative online concerts with other groups including the sort of also live festival the Oiran live video footage was taken from). Life was the encore of that August 2020 show and after closing the main part of the show with Oiran they all went backstage to change into the show's "concert shirt" for the encore (something cool that a lot of Japanese bands seem to do). This show also marked the drummer Tamu's return to performing with the band after taking a couple months off to have her first baby, so when they came back out they all formed a circle facing the drums to give speeches about how much they had missed her and were glad to have her back. Guitarist Saki went first but in the middle of her speech couldn't hold back the tears and started crying into her hands as seen in the video - once that happened the floodgates opened and they all teared up. They then decided to stay in the circle facing Tamu to play the song, and when at once particularly emotional part of the song Mayu pointed right at Tamu, Tamu teared up again although she never stopped playing or missed a beat. August is also the month of guitarist Hazuki's birthday so they had birthday cake for her as well. Many seem to think they actually did the cake backstage before they came out to play the song, but the actual stream was live and they were only backstage for under 5 minutes (and all had to change their shirts as well while they were back there) so it's far more likely the cake ceremony came after the show.

Saki gave an emotional speech during a livestream concert. The members dedicated this song to the drummers baby. The guitarist that had a birthday was left of the lead singer facing the drummer. I won't say Tamu's baby again...lol I thought I read somewhere that they all gave little speeeches before filming telling tamu-san how happy they were she was back, and that they missed her terribly... That might have been the source of the background scenes durig the video....maybe someone knows that part of the story a bit better? :) \m/
