I just realized that Annie has the same 'walk cycle' as Nene, but just with slightly longer back legs. Whereas all the other gorillas walk more like how gorillas normally walk. Nene and Annie have this relaxed feeling to their walk.

Annie was loyal to Shabani, Shabani is loyal to Annie!

Shabani always protecting Annie as Ali was running to her. Shabani stopped all the activities!

Ai and Kiyo are concerned that Nene has an injury to her wrist, Nene is trying to heal herself by poking the wound with a stick, it must be painful.

Annie can be antagonistic towards Nene but that's because Nene used to try to attack her when she was young. Nene thought she needed to protect Kiyomasa from Annie, but she didn't need to. All this happened because Ai didn't recognize or raise Annie as her own. It took about 2 years for Annie to be accepted by the whole group. It only worked because Shabani claimed Annie as his own and was a parent to her. Shabani has always intervened during the attacks that happened in the past with Nene. During the recent family fight, Annie sided with her dad and threw Nene on the ground to try to prevent her from chasing after Shabani. I think that Nene and Annie's relationship has soured even more due to that recent incident. It's unfortunate that due to Ai not acknowledging Annie as her own that Nene doesn't acknowledge her as her own granddaughter. I've always seen Nene wilder than the other gorillas because she's lived longer and was the only one born in the wild. I think that it's something that Shabani likes about Nene but also realizes he has to keep her in check more too. She can be very dominant, which doesn't go well with Annie trying to antagonize her. The thing to love about Shabani is that he's always been the glue that has held the family together. Kiyomasa was protecting his mom and sister by forming a barrier between them.
