Watch part II here - • Neo Instruments MiniVe...
In this video, I demonstrate the Mini Vent II, the replacement for the original Mini Vent for Organ and Mini Vent for Guitar. Same great rotary speaker simulation for keys, guitar, or other instruments but with more features and parameters to customize your sound.
New features include:
Extended parameter set (Speed, Balance, Drive, Distance, Mode)
Bypass Status memorized on power off
New modulation curve for the Distance function (same as Ventilator II)
Only one model for guitar and organ
Switch Mode routine for customizing foot switch functions
Factory Reset option
Enjoy and please subscribe!

Man I came here as a guitar player to watch a rotary video. What I discovered was a real, live organ player. Cheers man!

Nice review. Just bought the Neo Vent II (the big one) for my XK-2 and it brings that organ back to life. Why I waited so long, I don't know. Used it on a gig and the band members were saying it sounds great. So to anyone who doesn't have one of these yet, go get one. For the extra money I wanted the knobs and control. Hammond needs to put one of these (the big one) in their next organ (XK-6) with the 5 knobs and switches on the control panel. That's the last thing they're missing, is the perfect Leslie simulation. The organ sound is spot on as you've proved, but the Leslie still isn't there.

Thanks Jim, this is super helpful, and I'm a guitar player. None of the guitar demos of this pedal go into the depth of programming that you did. Greatly appreciated!

The Hammond XK-3C makes an ideal ballpark organ for a park that doesn't a larger organ already installed in it. Just ask Scott Hogan who plays one at AT&T Park in San Francisco (he brings his in and plays it from a platform above the left center field bleachers there). The key click that is present on yours due to being set up for cabinet mode could equate with the chiff that most pipe organs have to varying degrees on their flue pipes, and are ideal for playing jazz music on your organ. That Mini Vent 2 device brings out most every sound much better, from a pipe sound to the jazz click sound as well as a gospel sound to the organ.

it's a pity that it isn't possible to attach a footswitch. I had the Vent 2 and made one myself . Other than when playing with feet as well a footswitch for fast/slow seems a better idea.

The sound is very good when the unit is in edit mode: The rotor speed changes from high to low to high ... and so on every ten seconds. It would be a great feature to have this programmable.

I'm so glad I opted to get the Vent 2 and NOT this Mini.
@stevemmx
@stevemmx 5 лет назад
I'm interested why. I'm in the market and I have to research here because my store doesn't carry it to try out
@markjaylandes
@markjaylandes 5 лет назад
@@stevemmx because the vent 2 has easily accessible knobs for needed adjustment(tweaking) and the mini' s only advantage is being a bit smaller and less expensive.

I thought a pro rack version was going to e released last year? I was waiting on that version hoping it would be superior in some way. I guess I was wrong. It's still the best though.

I tried one but didn’t like the “leakage”. It sounded like distortion. I like a cleaner sound. Seems like modern keyboards do this just as well.

Can you use that mini vent to with a regular keyboard
@JimAlfredson

Sure. It has a standard 1/4" input and stereo 1/4" output.

Hello, Jim. I have just purchased the Mini Vent II and would like you, please, to indicate how to make the cables connections on the VK8 Roland and the monitors.

Wonder why you cannot use a half moon or CU-1 on the Vents?
@JimAlfredson
@JimAlfredson Год назад
You can. Just not on the Mini-Vent. You have to use the full sized Ventilator II.

Gee, the demo demo'ed that these "MiniVents" are a true pain! Not for me and not versatile enough for 'on the fly' changes!

Any box where you have to remember something like hold down switch A for three seconds until light X blinks twice and turns from green to yellow and blinks once every two seconds and then tap switch B until light X blinks twice blue... Fuggetaboutit!!! Worse than menu diving. If they’re too cheap ass to put little switches on the side to control the finer settings, I’ll look elsewhere.
@petara45
@petara45 6 лет назад
But did somebody told you that this is the cheaper version of the neo ventilator 2? Once you set it up, you should be fine. I guess you know how many knobs a real leslie has and how much editable it is.
@thortschman
@thortschman 2 года назад
But for Live use there is nothing better. Once set --> forever set. There is no chance you change the configuration during loading/set up. I love it for having no knobs.

@@petara45 Last time I looked a real Leslie didn´t have any knobs?? It has a few switches.
