I have the Legend JDF with the 25 note pedalboard bench and organ stand. Also got twin Hurricane cabinets and it absolutely awesome ! I personally can't fault it. It's as basic as possible as we live in the remote Scottish Highlands so no repair shops without going a very long way ! This latest version obviously takes it to another level 😀 l love Viscount . For the money they're fantastic !
Great performance Jim! Most B3-clones sound nice today but nothing can beat the old electro-magnetic originals in my opinion. Not today and not tomorrow. For example: if you play heavy block chords a´ la Wild Bill Davis with 888888888 on upper you still can hear AND feel the differences.
Jim you are one of my favorite Organist! I love this demo of you showing me this. I have a question since i couldnt find a dual manual i purchased both 2 single manuals and use them both as a dual manual a Roland VK-7 and Hammond XK1 and Yamaha MO6 as my piano from the Motif ES lines
Nice review, Jim. Question for you... Is the tonewheel contact noise level adjustable? Wondering if that is a user-selectable parameter in the menus. TIA.
does the changing of the rev filter also change the envelope slope? wonder if 1/2 had one sort of envelope and rev 3 its own. felt there way on the first gong patch!
Great performance ! "Never Knew Love Like This Before" is a 1980 song written and produced by James Mtume and Reggie Lucas, and recorded by American R&B singer Stephanie Mills for her fourth studio album Sweet Sensation (1980). Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis wrote a different song... similar title "Never Knew Love Like This" recorded by Alexander O'Neal Featuring Cherrelle -
Is it possible to have the internal digital leslie engage only on the top manual and NOT the bottom? I'd love it for the top manual but not for bass notes on the bottom manual
What really makes me drool for this keyboard is the amount of minute editing of the organ sound. Kind of like on the Roland RD-2000, you can modify each key's tuning and voicing. I like when manufacturer puts a lot of trust in their consumers, and gives them the ability to edit everything!!!
How would the Custom Tone Wheel Edit work on the XK-5 - do they have an editor? The SK Pro makes it difficult to justify investing in the XK-5. Is there anything that the XK-5 is a better option for (other than the aesthetics of the XK-5)!
I always enjoy your playing Jim...Love your rendition of the little drummer boy...Very soulful... Is that the key of D major?...Didn't know hammond had a drum kit...Now I must invest...Lol...Your 58 looks amazing...My B3 is a 55...
