Behind the scenes of the Tokyo photo shoot for RinRin Doll's new "NEO LOLITA" collection with the Japanese brand Galaxxxy.
Tokyo-based model RinRin Doll collaborated with the Japanese brand Galaxxxy to release her first fashion collection "NEOLOLITA"!
RinRin shot the NEOLOLITA lookbook on the streets of Shibuya - and she was nice enough to invite us along. Hope you enjoy a quick look at her new collection - and at the streets of Shibuya.

I dont see the connection to lolita fashion, but regardless, I absolutely love the looks! And I'm a happy girl whenever Rinrin's involved haha she's so wonderful..

+Kuroneko Hachechan Hmm I can see what you're saying really but I'd personally associate lolita more with delicate, modest/conservative, high quality items with an overall cuten doll like appearance. So I'd call it dolly rather than lolita BUT I suppose that's all up to the designer haha and well it's gorgeous so what's in a name right ^^

+Jaimy S 'neo' fashion is appearing in Japan these days. It combines harajuku styles with western style. Neo-gyaru is also a thing already, which is kind of a bolder version of western style

I think the connection with the name that it has a few visually similar pieces to lolita but with twists. Hence the NEO (neo means new). It's got a poofy skirt, cutsew looking shirts, the pigtails, and general Harajuku make-up/hair color trend going on right now. I don't think it's meant to be lolita--it's like more of a sister style? And since lolita is RinRin's go-to fashion for the most part, it's probably what she drew inspiration from. I don't really get why people are so up in arms tbh o.o

There is no connection between "lolita" and this style at all apart from "its cute" and the makeup/hair is kind of similar BUT I actually really love the look

+Antoinette Souter I think the term lolita is starting to be used more generally. Lately I've seen it used a lot to refer to cute, girly, dolly looks. I think it's just become a stylish word. Also, this clothing is really cute. I want.
