The Tau have managed to uncover our secret base during their military expedition into the fringes of their space.
Unfortunately they also discovered the research facility and not realizing the forces they were messing with destroyed an experimental device. This device has led to a fracture in the warp and demons have begun to spew forth.
I would leave the Tau to their fate but none must every learn of this experiment and having a demon host so close to our borders is not ideal.
