I find it very hard to make all things even in testing out saws head to head.... One thing I think is important is having both saws past warm and onto hot.... So I discount the first 4-5 cuts after warming them up... I hate cutting cookies, and would prefer to just buck firewood to test, but sometimes I think keeping cuts real close to each other eliminates variability in the log... I also try to get them close in RPM on the tach, but I have since re-thought that. Really a better IMO way to handle that is to tune each saw to it's max rpm... And depending on stock port timing, there can be a 1000K or more difference...And that will greatly effect the cut time.... Again it is hard to keep it even and I am NOT saying I have it down to a science and likely never will. I like both the FT and Neo offerings... And like/dislike things each manufacturer does....The biggest thing we all need to remember is we are getting A LOT of saw for little money and they all have the potential to be made better for little more money..... Be safe.
G'day mate I warmed both chainsaws always do , this just see both saw's side by side. Neo-tec I own the farmer tec is a mates saw just for fun it's in a big bore kit cheers Kevin 😎
G'day Kev, Its nice to see saws being tested blocking wood productively on you tube rather than cutting place mats. I'll bet old mate that owns the wood yard is happy 😊 is that a superaxe in the background ? I know the company owner he's a clever man 👍.
I not sure what it's called stickers all gone but great machine I cut the wood as a hobby he pays for my parts and fuel, he has helped me out in the past so help now where I can cheers mate Kevin 😎
I own a ns892 and a ms500i ms291 farmboss and a ms250 wood boss. I have to say that the ns892 sounds hungry when it fires up and it sails through hardwoods like a champ. Only down side is its weight and fuel consumption, and I suppose I can complain about the fuel and bar oil caps too, she is one thirsty pig! But I love running it. Mine starts right up every time also. I bought it from a gentlemen who beat the crap out of it and was unable to repair. Imagine if this saw were fuel injected like the 500i.
I just saw this video. Good one mate. Really appreciate what you do. Would you be able to tell me which clone saw would be best to buy? Friend of mine bought a farm and he needs a saw, but the brand ones are so expensive! I appreciate if you could give me a bit of direction regarding what de to buy. Thanks Buddy.
G'day they were both running the same new full chisel chain. I have alot video with the neo-tec NS892 v's other stihl saws, I feel it's a great clone and I still own it. Stihl and husqvarna are the saws I am into, I solo chainsaw cheers
Thanks mate so the neo-tec, I a go of a Husqvarna 390xp the other day. It's was nice and lite, very very good on fuel hope to down load video soon cheers Kevin 😎
