Man, I was a teen myself when TWEWY came out, I added expressions like omigosh and hella to my vernacular because that's how it really impacted me, gotta try this one now seems really good
A skip dialogue sequence option would have been much appreciated, as it hampers replaying specific days when you have to mash A to get through cutscenes and will affect replaying the game in general. Out of the character specific psyches, Fret’s can be the most hit or miss because of how fiddly the mechanic can get handling the joycons in a specific direction each.
People need to understand that a 7/10 it's a good game. I wish one day that we will change the scoring system. I prefere a lot a +/- scoring system or like Gamexplain (dislike, like, like a lot, love, mindblowing, etc).
It adds enough new things to feel like a new experience, especially with the character specific psyches, but retains enough of the old to feel like a continuation of the original experience.
While i think the art style is incredible and the landmarks look stylish, i think the models themselves look a bit weak and the cut scenes look flat out cheap.
PSA: If you don’t grind or engage with the secondary powerup systems (being food, which is permanent stat buffs, and clothes, which is equipment like in most games), there is a STEEP difficulty curve in the last third of the game. I straight-up had to turn on easy mode for a particularly cheap boss. Though, to wit, there *is* an easy mode you can toggle whenever and the only penalty is that enemies drop less exp and pins while it’s active (which, if you’re playing the whole game on easy mode, you should naturally need less of anyways) and it’s not like insultingly easy If anything, that boss just stopped feeling like he was BSing me, went from one-shotting me for a minor mistake to taking out a third of my HP. Still punishing, but much more suited to a long fight you may not want to go back to the start of and lose 12 minutes of progress every time you make a small mistake (it more-or-less made me feel like I was level-appropriate for the fight instead of wildly undergeared, which I was)
The enemies drop lower strength pins on Easy and Normal, so you need to fight on Hard and, post-game, Ultimate, modes to get the higher power psych and money pins as well as trade materials some clothing items require. The pin drop rate is determined by how much you’ve scaled your level down by, which also affects your team HP. The first two phase boss is definitely a wake up call, and you need to use the environment to avoid a particularly powerful move. That losing the battle means restarting from the first phase adds to this difficulty, and healing means sacrificing a pin slot on your deck or building up your groove to be a Killer Groove.
Looks interesting..but if I have to hear tweewee ever again I might die. Literally another other or group of words would have been better. Almost made me wanna play it less.
She could be eighteen or nineteen, she mentions having a dorm and confirms by the embarrassed looks Rindo and Fret have that she is a college student. Rindo and Fret don’t mention missing school, so the game is probably set during a holiday period.
The problem is that this game "felt" long because of the story. I think the story wasn't that bad, but 3 in-game weeks was way too much for what was told. IMHO of course.
Honestly, I'm a huge jrpg fan but i haven't played like 98% of them, including the first twewy. So, like, i watched an lp on it like 2 years ago. End of story
You can power up for more powerful attacks by using what is technically a rhythm mechanic and a mid game ability gives you a boost in this by matching the beat in the over world, but it’s never a plot or gameplay focus
I wanted to get this then I played the demo and decided to wait. I like the combat but the story did not pull me in. I will likely wait until Black Friday or a decent sale to buy for this.
If you're worried about the story then you should definitely check out the first game before this. It had a lot more serious and better paced introduction to its story that basically pulls you in very quickly. This game starts with the assumption that you've played the original before-hand so it naturally tries something very different.
@@drvegapunk3299 well technically the combat of the original was inspired by CoM I don't know about the story though feels a lot more adult/mature than KH which is honestly probably where KH is going
Playing the demo and while the combat is very fun, the rest of the game is very... blah. The characters are rather corny and the dialogue interrupts the gameplay way too often. The city is very barren as well. 7/10 is a perfect score.
@@minisnee the story literally made me almost cried too, LIKE CMON, IT IS SO Amazing the progress can be. Plus the OST is amazing and this game should be a 9 or a 10
The face mash was added to his designs way before Covid-19 was spread, the mask is supposed to represent Rindo’s lack of ability to speak out and make his own decisions
Whats the big deal? Fans have been abbreviating the title as TWEWY for years. Yeah it sounds goofy but "The World Ends With You" is a considerably long title to be saying constantly.
