Saudi Government’s Deadly Tactics Exposed for Eco-City Development
Saudi officials have authorised ‘deadly force’ to clear land for a new eco-city being built by Western firms according to a former intelligence officer who spoke to the BBC.
It’s the latest controversy surrounding the futuristic development in the Saudi desert where 100,000 workers are reportedly struggling to implement the bold design plans.
Col. Rabih Alenezi states he was ordered to relocate villagers from a Gulf tribe to make way for The Line, part of the Neom eco-project.
Later, one of them was fatally shot for protesting the eviction.
The Saudi government and Neom management declined to comment.
