People like to act like it's better to tell people nothing about the show going in but the reality is that I love evangelion but cuz of that "hush hush" nonsense I thought it looked like some stupid piece of crap. This trailer actually does it justice
I'd probably consider it one of the scarier ones, if exorcist is considered the most scariest movie of all time then this is the scariest anime of all time
@@giga_Lion funny they forked out the budget for a new cast but couldn't be bothered paying the license fee to the Bart Howard estate to at least keep the song.
This trailer is exactly as how it should be done, no big spoilers or interpretation of the story forced on you, so you can make your own after. Yet it shows you some the characters that are in involved and some of the action and special effects and quality and style of the series, so you can decide to be interested in it.
Destroy All Monsters right? I saw it too and it just blew my mind as a child. That and the amazing Gunhed trailer with the 80s synth music. I have those damn trailers burned into my brain.
I remember seeing this trailer on a DVD. But that ending scream wasn't included, which definitely gives this trailer the edge. The moment I saw this trailer, I knew I was gonna be a fan for life.
Evangelion is one of those shows where so much crazy shit happened over the course of the series, that you could probably make a five minute montage of uninterrupted animation, and it still wouldn’t spoil anything.
Whoa, I did exactly this 8 months ago and the algorithm recently blew it up for some reason. 4 minutes of insanity but no major character spoilers. I could have made it a lot longer too.
I totally agree with you bro, The original series is just perfect as it gets. Im worried that i will never see something that made me feel or like as Neon Genesis Evangelion did :_( .
@@GJ1998ARGMTV Italy used to air anime. From 1999 until 2010, they had an anime programming block called "MTV Anime Night", kind of like Toonami i think. Some animes shown were Cowboy Bebop, Black Lagoon, Inuyasha, Ranma, Fullmetal alchemist, Gintama, GTO, Death Note, and of course, Evangelion.
Imagine if Stanley Kubrick had made a TV series. That's basically what Evangelion felt like when I watched it. It was quite an experience (especially the ending).
This is the greatest anime of all time. And it is probably the greatest expression of art ever created. P.S: This is a great trailer. It does so much justice for the series. :)
Ya know. I watched Eva many many years ago (2002) and I've seen the movies and so on and played the games. But this is the literal first advertisement I've ever seen for the series. And I can only think: "Dude, imagine seeing this as a teaser for this wild new show coming out and this is all you have to go on"
I see, I stand corrected sir. FLCL was also a kickass show but damn I would not have been surprised at all if the creative team behind that one just wrote down whatever they saw during an acid trip while watching Lupin III and FLCL was the result.
Ah EVA, the most over analyzed anime ever made. I love this show, it earns its classic status and I don't know if I'd say its THE best anime of all time, but its certainly on the top 10 list. Heres hoping the new movies, no to mention the live-action movie, stay true to their roots of excellence. Course this time the makers probably wont be on heavy anti-depressant medication when they are writing the script.
@gatotsu911 I just plan on keeping them separate in my head. I love the movies but nothing can top the series. It will never be the same as the series, but can be good in its own right. I just love that even after all these years it still gets analyzed to death.
Man when this was played on SBS (in Australia) back in 199… something? Was it 98 or 99? Can’t remember. But like wow. Hard for Beethoven’s 9th not to become your favourite classical music after this.
Realy? I thought they where alone. Thats changed the for me ^_^ I was always slightly depressed at the ending thinking that they where left alone, but thanks for clearing that up for me.
I don't get it as well. Haha. Supposedly it's rapture, or something. They say the last two episodes only happen in the minds of the characters. So the objective reality is the one you see in the movie. What I do (if I don't want a migraine) is I skip episodes 25 and 26 and then go straight to the movie.
