@@Youuuuuu True, but you wouldn't expect one of the best microphones to be used in a 2006 Evangelion parody posted on some (back then) goofy site named "RU-vid"
@@kiatsumi7355 I wouldn’t consider this one of the best microphones out there, I think I can get similar results with my 30 euro BM-800 condenser mic with phantom power and a bit of EQ-ing
Coolio's song is essentially built on top of Stevie Wonder's work; like most rap tracks, it's awfully derivative. Not saying you can't enjoy the rapper's work, but Wonder is the one who should get top billing here.
I showed this to my friend who hasn't watched Evangelion yet and he said. "So transformers with depressed waifus and maniacs?" And he couldn't describe it more better...
Actually, almost every creator (me (DanQ), Majoránka, Cynebeald and Woko) of this amv is married with kids now ^_^ . And Manta is getting married next year! Yay! ^_^
Most Evangelion parodies on RU-vid, even the older ones use the Rebuilds as footage. This specimen is so old that the Rebuilds weren’t even made at the time.
@@neet-noot573 then there's the fact that Gangsta's Paradise is actually based on Stevie Wonder's Pastime Paradise making it a parody of a parody of a parody
I love finding old videos on RU-vid. Brings me back to when RU-vid didn't have content creators to make money but people made videos for fun. I miss those days.
@@TheTdw2000 WTF with more reason if you're in for the profit you use a better mic and image quality. This is the typical comment of "oh no!! He makes money with RU-vid!! He's such a bad person! Burn him!!" So pathetic.
I'm proud of Rei for standing up to him against him at the end. And the fact it were Shinji and Asuka of all people who probably inspired her stand up to him... For two messed teens, they were really good shock therapists.
A reminder that this masterpiece was made in a year where the most impressive editing skill you can do was put a blue screen with the text "thank you for watching rate 5/5 pls" with a linkin park song.
@@wellhellothereitllbefun4901 yeah, Eva is one of those animes that actually impacted me as a person and made me learn how to face my problems at face value instead of running away
Also back when it was harder to find, so people actually watched stuff older than 5 years without complaining about the quality You should go on Fan Art Central It's not great but I find it interesting
“Aim through impact into paradise” could’ve been SEELE’s slogan. But still, this really does unironically capture Gendo’s mindset very well, with all the characters being essentially chess pieces to him with varying degrees of awareness as to the true nature of their mission and purpose within NERV, their personal issues making all of them prime targets for exploitation by Gendo and SEELE they prepare to create their own perverse version of heaven and forcibly subject all of humanity to it.
I feel old. When this video was made, Neon Genesis Evangelion was considered an oldish animé. Now the difference between when this video was published and NGA, is lesser than this video and modern times.
@@josedonadito >the internet wasn't this toxic. More like, sincerity was allowed. We didn't need to present and view everything through a lens of irony/apathy.
Gendo's Paradise Gendo: As I walk through the abyss where I built up my base I take a look at my wife and realize she left no trace. But that's just perfect for a badass like me, Ya know I shun fancy things like humanity. At four thirty in the morning I'm plotting tricks Lil' Ritsuku clones Rei, and Misato vomits fool And I've been plottin' and clonin' so long that even Fuyutsuki thinks that my mind is gone I'm a man of the NERV, I'm into discipline I got Adam in my hand and a beard on my chin But if SEELE completes their plans and I complete mine then we'll have a nice impact like in 1999 Rei: We've been lonely for most of our lives aim through impact into paradise We've battled Angels once or twice aim through impact into paradise We let each other sacrifice aim through impact into paradise We build mechs at an insane prise aim through impact into paradise Gendo: My little boy came to headquarters last week I didn't smile at him 'cause he's a useless whiny geek. I really don't care in fact I wish him well cause living with katsuragi seems to be a kind of hell And he ain't ever punched asuka even if she deserved it She's a pilot with a 'tude; you know that's unheard of She has no manners but she looks good in red and compared to her Rei looks almost dead fool If you come to visit better bring a coupla tissues even Carl Gustav Jung won't be enough for our issues But we ain't really quaint so please don't point and stare We're just psychologically impaired Ritsuko: There are angels, evas, at fields and the single brilliant me A bunch of texbook cases for Freuds psychopathology We've been lonely for most of our lives aim through impact into paradise We're just plain and simple guys aim through impact into paradise There comes the time to throw the dice and aim through impact into paradise Then you'll see we don't play nice we'll aim through impact into paradise Gendo: Lying to the SEELE, cloning Shinji's mother Made her clone on Monday, soon I'll make another Think I'm really crazy? Think I ain't got a heart? Well I know I'm a million times as insane as thou art I'm the scheming bastard foolish Kaji wants to be like In my chair day and night watching angels dancing in my mind So don't complain and don't be whiny or else, my son you'll end up in a coma like that little Heinie We've been lonely for most of our lives aim through impact into paradise We've been spreading fears and frights to aim through impact into paradise There'll be no pain just comfy lights aim through impact into paradise But you'd probably think it bites after impact in our paradise
Seeing this video's age makes me feel old but seeing a bunch of comments saying "it's my age", "it's older than me" makes me feel even older, like, shouldn't y'all be in diapers right now
