it hurts my soul that alan isnt one of the biggest names in the music industry.... he deserves so much more credit. amazing album, after amazing album, and still no recognition from the evil empty void that has become mainstream music.
This is so sick! I met the lead singer at a show in Cleveland, we talked in Spanish a bit about our heritages and backgrounds. - Es muy simpático y amable, ojalá que le vaya bien. Un abrazo, tío!
2020 and listening during quarantine. Such a nostalgic vibe and song. Brings me back to a better time in my life. P.s. the girl on the six trac is such A CUTIE 💕
Mi mayor miedo es morir y no seguir descubriendo música que me encante como esta canción, siempre que pienso que ya no encontraré más joyas el algoritmo me sigue sorprendiendo. Gran canción y gran letra 🙏
I love hearing them live, everything feels a lot more raw. The studio versions of their songs are a lot more polished but this unpolished version really enhances that indie psychedelic synth vibe.
Natalie Mae yeah i agree. the only thing i like better about the studio version of this song would be the vocals. and i think that because the studio version is really glossed over like you said, the sounds dont mix as well as they could have. oh and i really liked the way this song sounded when they played it on Jimmy Fallon
Natalie Mae Yeah, i mean i can barely sing in the car lol so i dont expect anybody to sing great live but i was just saying. and that version rocks dood, its like the perfect blend between this live version and the studio version imo.
Lyrics: It's been at least another year And still I haven't got the chance to say Always rolling off the tongue Never said but nearly sung about a million ways Every photograph and story Trickled through the lengthy web of friend I over thought but understood Distant look but looking good And not the other way But you fail to remember But you fail to remember Do I still cross your mind? Your face still distorts the time With heat struck afternoons long through Those idle dreams go back to you The echo's seem somewhat displaced Ever further from your face, I'm drifting off to Bored of mere flirtations That's what's made of constellations that I've sought Was this only in my head Just like most things go misread When overthought But you fail to remember But you fail to remember Do I still cross your mind? Your face still distorts the time Do I still cross your mind? Your face still distorts the time Do I still cross your mind? Your face still distorts the time
Saw them Tuesday night at the Granada, they were awesome! Alan is freaking adorable in person, he was shorter than me, which is a feat. They were so nice and courteous after too.
Maddie MacDowell well well well I have been asking people for months to tell me passion pits name lol Edit: I like his take a walk song lol I found it when I searched his name thank you lmao
LONG LIVE THE 80's LOL!! I love bands like this and Washed Out that are SO keeping the 80s Synth vibe alive in todays music. Are there any other bands out there that you guys might recommend? Bands like Washed Out, Neon Indian, Tycho...
I’m here after a memorie on my Facebook exactly 8 years ago, i remember myself going out on my skate board with headphones on listening to this guys!! They were just Greaaat! What happened to this guys and many other electro indie bands from those years ??
Neon Indian is still making music, hes working on a new album right now, his last one was 4 years ago. You should check it out, it's not exactly like chillwave here it's more 80s dance inspired.
The smaller one that looks blue-ish is a Roland SH101, a monophonic analog synthesizer from the early 80's. I also see a Korg MS-20, and a SCI Six Trak. Plus, lots of Moog stuff!
