POWER SUPPLY NOTES
Regarding the power supply listed above:
▶ I highly recommend the Mean Well series of power supplies, which I've now used for years without a problem.
▶ One spool of the LEDs listed above draws 2 amps DC, so if you're using a full spool, you want a power supply listed above that. I listed a 3-amp supply above.
▶ For other models, search for Mean Well APV. This series goes up to 3 amps. For higher amperage, or for outdoor use, search for the LPV series.
▶ These are meant to be general recommendations and not expert advice. Good luck!
OTHER NOTES
▶ I modified the stock circuit board by swapping out the capacitors and resistors with other values to suit my own needs.
▶ The "dirt" I sprayed on the signs was just watered-down latex paint.
▶ I work with Neon of Dallas to create all the neon glass.

I was thinking, what the heck kinda restroom sign is he making. After you hung them up it was like " DUUH !". ITS MUD FLAPS WITH BUILT IN TURN SIGNALS. I love it. How you cone up with these ideas is amazing. BTW good to hear the Jetsons space car is still working. Lol

Love the signs, but one critique...big missed opportunity with the figures. On mud flaps, they would be a metallic finish. You laid sheet at the beginning. That's when I would have masked. Just my take.

They can be metallic, but aren't necessarily. The problem with a reflective surface on a black background, though, is that it can look dark depending on the lighting and one's perspective, and the figures would have been lost.

It's generally not recommended (and usually not to code) to mount neon directly to wood.

It was a collaboration. The client wanted to use those silhouettes, so I thought, why not make them look like actual mudflaps?

In this case, the client requested using the silhouettes in a design for bathroom signs, and I suggested making them look like actual mudflaps. I worked up a sketch and we determined the details (like how much neon to incorporate) based on their budget.

You used the "new" nasty, non-voluptuous, not-as-sexy female outline design. The older, sexier ones were the best. They are really hard to get now. Maybe there was a copyright claim or something.
