Any information on possible side effects from performing daily x-rays on premature babies? My son was born a week ago at 30 weeks and 2 lb 6 oz, and he's already had 4 abdominal x-rays performed. Is this safe?
So many lordotic views made by poorly qualified or experienced radiographers. I would only do a supine if absolutely necessary. If required I would tilt the tube to ensure it wasn't lordotic. Erect AP and there is little chance of lordotic if the baby is held properly
