When percussing the heart, the density of the heart is compared to the density of the adjacent lung tissue. The lungs are relatively less dense than the heart, so the sound produced when percussing over the lungs will be resonant, while the sound produced when percussing over the heart will be dull.

TRUE (OR) LYMPHOID THYMIC HYPERPLASIA WITH NO E/O HYPERPLASTIC THYMUS. -NO BILATERAL PLEURAL EFFUSION SEEN.
