I haven't played neopets in YEARS, but the best successful adopt I've ever had was a maraquan draik

all of the pets i look at give the message "No abandoned Neopets were found with that name." any advice?

I got all of my pets from pound surfing, and they're gorgeous. A couple of them actually came in their original colors; one a Chocolate Aisha and one an Eventide Aisha

I too came from Dunkeys video. It's pretty cool to see that Neopets still has a few dedicated fans such as yourself. I had a lot of great memories playing as a kid and it's been cool to take a trip down memory lane.

My best pound find so far has been Exhav, my Maraquan Shoyru. I intended to trade her off for something else, but I've gotten too attached and now she's a permanent member of the family.

I remember how badly I wanted a Draik in like 2011-2012 and yesterday I log in and sell some stuff and easily get a pirate draik morphing potion for 95k after making like 115k selling stuff

Lol this happened to me, so I had a backup account, one day my brother wanted to play neopets so I gave him my backup account, then he told me “what the pound thing in neopets?” So I said “you can find pets that people abandoned and adopt them” so he said for help and we ended up finding a Pirate Eyrie, a Gold Elephante, Fire Aisha, and a Pirate Krawk, yeah we found a krawk in the pound, you need a lot of luck for that to happen

I have 5 pets at the moment and 4 of the 5 I got from surfing the pound: a Halloween Bori, Maractite Aisha, Tyrannian Lupe, and a Mutant Lenny. I wouldn't give them up for the world

Randomly made an account again after years. Picked up a VWN plush kacheek which I traded for a VWN maraquan draik and also found WN Camo Krawk.

I don't know how you can just do that... I abandoned one Neopet as a kid and I still hate myself for it. It felt immoral. I'm ashamed.

I've used that site before! It is certainly super handy. Do you have any suggestions for pets that you want to keep permanently while still abandoning/adopting pets from the pound? I become crazy attached 3:

I've found that Draiks and Krawks are actually not too uncommon in the searchable pound myself, but that's not a surprise since the forgotten shore rendered the species practically worthless (Chia, Gelert, Kacheek, Jetsam and Cybunny morphs are a good deal more nowadays even, and others would be too if they hadn't gotten super low-rarity MPs that flooded the market). I really wish that JS would bring in some new obtainable pet state that is really hard to get like Draiks and Krawks were, the site just isn't the same with BD stats being the only way to make pets trade better, especially since UCs are completely unobtainable now and never will be according to both JS and Viacom. Anyway, I usually search pets in the pound with four-five letter stuck pet searches. I choose three starting letters and try all easily pronounceable names with the last two letters and all 24 searches with four letters. I found one really nice 4-lettered pet in the pound (says "none" for owner when the pet is in the pound) a month ago and gave the name to the pound surf board. I think the person who took it may have traded it for an UC, and I'm happy for them and glad that I could help. I still haven't found an UC in the pound (or UCs in pound_release) with this method, but it is something I do when I'm bored. It's too bad that pound_release shut down with the transfer, but from what I've heard, most of the PR UCs probably went to people using bots, so if they re-open it they'd need a captcha for the pound, too. That would be IMO much less annoying than the profile captchas, since nobody legit really adopts 100 pounded pets in a day. Then there's also the problem of PR running out of pets to throw in since they only have a fraction of the original ones left on that account, but Breik_u5 has some Grundos from the pound event 10 years ago as well. If they wanted to, they could also make a script for the next purge (god knows if/when that will happen, though) that puts UCs into PR instead of completely purging them. That would be awesome, but I doubt they care that much about UCs that they'd do that, even if most of the users want some way for new UCs to come into the pound chat. By the way, I found your videos by searching "neopets" in the YT search bar out of boredom. I only really have one person off-site to talk to about neo since all of my other friends, online or otherwise, have zero interest, so I thought I'd search for people's opinions on RU-vid.

spent 3 hours surfing the lost and pound site + the pound. even when the pet's page said it was in the pound, when i went to the pound it wasn't there. ahhh. i was trying to get back into neopets for nostalgic purposes, but it all just seems way too tedious. i heard there's a 3D mobile game in the works though, project name Neopets X. hard to find much info about it tho

I am a new subscriber. I tried this and there are several that on the neopets page says that the owner is the center of adoption, when I go to look for them they are not found. I don't know if this still works. I wanted a cybunny :(

while im here, i gotta thank the neoboards for helping me with all my goals while i was there i was gifted two baby paint brushes, a darigan draik morphing potion, and was also given the chance to adopt, not trade, ADOPT, a grey draik, a maraquan draik, a baby kacheek, a halloween uni, a halloween lupe, a mutant gelert, and, i believe a plushie kacheek! and i also found a baby in the pound yesterday, Becqueral was in the pound yesterday and right now she's a pretty little camo kacheek ;w;

Hello Pet Simmer Julie :) recently I ran across your channel and it brought me back to neopets. The last time I tried playing it again I couldn't understand a thing and everything loaded slowly but now I really love it and it seems to be working faster then before. Anyways, now onto what I originally was writing this comment for. I tried to use the site but each time I go into get a pet it says its not in the pound. At first I thought that maybe someone adopted it before me but after I checked again it still said it was in the pound. So now I have no clue how to get these pets because they just don't show up. If you or anyone could help me find out whats up I would be so grateful :) love your channel!!

Ah! The good ol- well... I forgot when, but sometime late 21st century, I got back to my *ahem* almost 20 year old account, I used Pound Surfing as a way to find my "dream pets" (a very big game-ender...) and same time help players find any pets that seemed interesting and easy-to-find at the Pound. Thanks to this, I was able to swipe a 8-Bit Zafara, who became my permie (who has no clothes sadly) in my Zafara collection! I run a personal Neopets Tumblr as well to alieante away from my main blog, and back then I would have fun be at the Adoption/Pound Neoboards and do some surfing and documenting all of the Neopets... Being a adult is harder now since Neoepts got dull game-wise, but I come back here and there to take my pets to the NeoLongue. Overall: Great video on the Pound Surfing topics! :)
