I don’t fly as much you. But I do fly often and I will, like you said, tolerate everything other than Attitude. If I were you, I would’ve de-planed immediately and disputed the fare with my credit card company. My best friend and I used to travel the world mostly with United, and American carriers are not known for their great service. But it was bearable. But the first time my best friend flew with Emirates, it absolutely blew him away! Business class service in economy. Emirates will always be my top choice.
15:04 I have the same phone cover as you I think! I got my iPhone from Bur Dubai for a good deal and they chucked int he cover for free lol. Cant wait to be back home in Dubai. Fly a route that I revenue manage maybe. ;) As someone who works in revenue management, I fully understand operational upgrades due to economy class overbooking when there is less business class demand... so you sell more in the economy and upgrade the surplus. But what you did was pay for an upgrade... that was just a scam. And of course, you paid in all cash so no trail. Except for your boarding pass maybe. Greetings from a cold and miserable London.
No, the country is great! It’s just that if you’re a first time visitor and this is your first interaction you’ll be a bit sad. But there are lots of Nepali’s in Dubai and they’re all lovely, so I didn’t worry too much 😃

It is very very sad and heartbreaking if someone does this kind of attitude to you. Crew shouldn't be that rude. And not treating Business Class person as it is also bad. It’s not really about Business Class or not, I could’t possibly care about that. They have to be nice to everyone and show respect regardless of class, gender or race. So that’s a big shortfall. I’m glad to have been able to show a video on Nepal Airlines! I hope to fly more of these exotic carriers in the near future.

The leading crew was right there! And I’ve watched over 3000 safety video’s and know pretty well how to operate a door etc.. But that doesn’t matter, in the service industry you don’t yell at anyone unless it’s an emergency.
I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your flight and that you felt embarrassed with how that male crew had the odacity to yell at you like that showed his true nature. My Nepali friends in New Zealand said that their national carrier is the worst airline they have. All that crew tantrums and attitude does not define their Nepali hospitality. "Guest equals God" ??? And with that attitude. No thanks. And what's up with their business class labelled as Shangri-La class? To me it's just average. Shangri La class is like Qatar, Emirates, Singapore Airlines. The luxury and opulence with their hospitable service. After watching your vlog, Nepali people would be embarrassed and furious. ❤❤
This is the real uae. The 2nd world country which has Abit of 1st n 3rd punched together that u won't find in Dubai promotion vids. But these people run Dubai.
2:52 it is 25€ in Germany. But still cheaper than others. I will never forget that terminal, I was there 2016 and booked Pegasus. I had the stupid idea to use Pegasus from Amsterdam via Istanbul (not Ataturk) to Dubai. It almost destroyed my love for aviation. Not only were all flights like a livestock transport, there was no service of course, and EVERY flight outward and return where delayed for hours. But not in advance, we boarded and nothing happened, no one informed us and on one flight, the same happened after we arrived at the gate. I had the worst passengers you can imagine and the landings where so bad, people threw up. When I arrived in Amsterdam again, they lost the bag I checked in because it remained in Istanbul. The next day, the called me that my bag arrived. Since I live only two hours away from Amsterdam I drove to the airport. Otherwise I would have paid an expensive fare and waited for even more days. When I went to Iran 2022, I booked Emirates. It was like another world, from the airport to the flights. 4:20 guess what, I had the same experience
I’m glad you shared this story with me as I’ll never forget which flight partially destroyed a piece of my love for aviation and that was my first Ryanair flight ever between Girona and Eindhoven. I still used to enjoy flying en Europe as airlines would still offer hot meals on most flights. After 2005-2006 that fully stopped thanks to low cost carriers. Anyway, thanks for sharing the story. Sometimes it’s best to pay a little more and experience a legacy Middle Eastern carrier instead. The cheap eventually is expensive!

I guess Vistara, Sri Lankan and Biman are the only good carriers in South Asia according to your trip reports. Vistara of course leads the list, I don't know why some vloggers on RU-vid bad mouth about the airline. I always had the best experience with them atleast for domestic flights. I'm yet to try them on international routes before its complete merger with Air India. Sad to see a nice carrier to be ceasing completely next year. PIA was good too. 👍
I’ve got to say that the newest Business Class seats at Air India are unbeatable for now. I like vistara and hope the best of them goes over to Air India. Besides that Sri Lankan was indeed great and Biman was special. But yeah, Nepal Airlines no more for me unfortunately. Thanks for writing!
Fr, I also don't get why some people hate the airline. the meals were great, the crew were fantastic, they served beverages, and all of this in a 3 hour flight!

Good job chipping in and helping the cleaning crew with the windows! Unless you were taxiing I can't see why the crew wouldn't let you use the bathroom before hand and why they would tell you not so use the business class toilet is beyond me :( Hope you flew Emirates back. I also travelled on nepal airlines on the same route, on october 2023 but on economy. I also had bad experience like you and Im shocked how can they treat passengers like this: 1) The cabin crew shouted at the passenger sitting behind my wife for closing his window when we boarded with attitude and disrespect. (Come on, it might be his first flight or something like that) 2) One flight attendant yelled at me when I was trying to get my bag out from the overhead locker when we were at cruising and the "Fasten seatbelt" sign was off. 3) One flight attendant yelled at my wife just because she was getting her bag out for getting the milk bottle for my son who is hungry and he was crying.
While I understand that safety standards have to be adhered to, I also understand that sometimes they have to be bend due to common sense, like feeding a child. Sorry you had to go through this. It’s disrespectful and just plainly rude. Hope you fly with others in the near future.
@@TheLayoverAviation I even wanted to complain about the rude behavior of the crew, but I stayed calm cause the crew might be having a bad day. At check in, I asked for a seat at the left side of the cabin for me and my wife, but they asked me to pay a total of 60 AED ($16.30) for selecting our own seats. They did the same to me. Ok for my son, we were taking him on lap (He was 10 months old at time of travel), the check in agent asked us for the third ticket, I said he will be seated on lap, nope, I argued and then he let us go. (Even if the flight isn't good, the view was great for me.) Im sorry, you had to go through an experience like this. Hope you fly with better service next time sir.

It is the last time I plan on flying with them! And the food I didn’t touch, the curry was a slurry! Such a weird texture, like slime. And they lied to me they don’t have booze! But hey, it can’t be always perfect! It would be a very boring channel otherwise. Tomorrow it’s all fixed. I’m flying on the newest EK A380 interior in Business to Melbourne to the Australian Open. I like the video, but you need to chill out with your complaining. I agree no one wants to get scorned by the airline crew, but you also have been complaining since the start of the video. Overall, I like what Nepal Airlines has to offer, it may not be top quality but it gets you where you want to go comfortably.
You should travel on Nepal airlines once again cause I went on Nepal airlines to Kathmandu for second time due to my business trip in economy class. The cabin crew were kind and were treating all passengers as a guest this time and I got booked on Nepal airlines for my return trip as well by my employer. As I've mentioned that my previous Nepal airlines flight on October 2023 had rude cabin crew, I got booked on Nepal airlines A330-200 for my business trip to Nepal in May 2024. The only negative thing this time I had was a 45 min delay for arrival, although I don't mind it, it might be inconvenient for many other passengers. It might be the rude cabin crew and delay which ruined your flight experience. Safe travels, Alex. Hope you get better experience on your next flight.
We are really sorry that you have to face their Attitude and behaviours but I am sure that you don't judge all nepalis by the attitude of some Unmannered Crew,You must have got good hospitality from People's of Nepal. Nepal is very corrupted Country and they will find every hole to have some in their pocket so Sorry for that- It is also one of the main reason of being more than 350+ Crew for Single planes. If My Dad is director my whole family,relatives will get job That's how it works.

I would write a less nice e-mail to the airline and complain about everything you experienced.. This crew needs o get fired the agent that only tookcash must be fired and i belive it was the same crew who jumped the line at the kiosk, if not complain... this airline i distgusting
Nepal airline is third grade airline and dangerous one also you should avoid this in the next trip, attitude in almost all Nepal airline to most destination is equally bad next time be careful about Nepal airline

Wowza, I felt your pain my friend. That’s just absolutely disgusting and dishonest behavior. Looks like they have a big culture issue in the company similar to when Air India was run by the government.
OMG! I think you have been scammed. Cash only upgrade to business class with tax free or no receipt! So they took your money for personal use and marked you as complimentary upgrade which is why they served economy meals in-flight.
Horrid Cabin Crew much? Service really is subpar in my opinion. I don’t like how the Cabin Crew acted towards you. They should be disciplined and be taught proper manners. Alongside this, they should never try and embarrass you, like that Young Air Steward did. I think you’ll consider going on Qatar or Turkish more if you were to go to KTM again.
I agree my friend. It’s sad. And yes, I flew Qatar Airways back to Dubai and on my flight from KTM I had the BEST crew experience I have had ever. Incredible and fun people. What a contrast.. So my business will go there!
the reason for the below average quality is that when u upgrade ur seat, a mark of upgrade is mentioned on the list, sometimes when they r overbooked they put the last passengers in the business classs generally at no extra cost but u get the same treatment as a pax of economy gets i.e. economy class food, drinks, lavatories and importantly the crew is really arrogant. i had a similar experience as well...i smelt some jealously among the crew for unidentifiable reasons... in ur case since u paid an extra they shud have given you the 'business class service' but i feel it was more of a communication error. maybe the crew wasnt informed abt the upgrade...Apart from that, Nepal Airlines is a really good airline...The problem is that it has been there for over 40 yrs but corruption has eaten it up... GIVE IT ANOTHER CHANCE AND SURELY U WILL ENJOY IT... :)
Nice video. Too bad about the bait & switch and what seemed like mediocre service. The restroom was appalling - enough so that I wouldn’t have eaten anything on that flight. But you live and learn. A company with that many employees per aircraft means that it is the employees in charge. Nobody will change anything as many have their fingers stuck in the pie.
RA cabin crew might be bad but not the pilots! You wouldn't know if the famous vlogger Capt Vijaya was your captain? So did you see mount Everest from the plane?
I was paying attention to that and no, it wasn’t him.. And I don’t think I saw Everest. It maybe was on the right, but all windows were occupied 😞 The crew was perhaps just nasty this day. Don’t think it’s consistently like this. And yes, the pilots must have a lot of experience when flying from KTM all the time!
Fantastic video! If you want to fly a very scenic flight I recommend you to fly from Kathmandu to Paro, Bhutan as the Mt. Everest can be viewed from that flight. It is very sad how Nepal Airlines served you badly and stole your money. What are we getting for the next video. P.S. - How are you? Hey my friend! I can’t wait to visit Paro, but I was time limited on this occasion. The next video I’ll post a quick flight on Cathay Pacific while I prepare a big one on Qantas. I’ve got a very busy week so am time constrained to edit. Regarding the comments, there are many possibilities. I receive a lot of comments a day and they’re all mixed from each single video so it’s impossible to reply them all one by one. It would take me over 5 hours a day! Many also go directly to the blocked folder if they contain a suspected word that RU-vid doesn’t like. So just bare with me!
