Residents around the peripheries of Phewa Lake used to sing this song in groups along with local Nepali musical instruments. Heard some 40 years ago during the 70s, the song was used for joyous occasion during marriages and other festive gatherings and was popular in the Kaski, Pumdi-Bhumdi region.
