Looking for a perennial with season long interest perfect for lining the front of the border? Look no further than this striking bright chartreuse yellow foliage and clusters of lavender blue flowers in Nepeta 'Chartreuse on the Loose'. Unlike most catmint, 'Chartreuse on the Loose' will continue to produce flowers without being cut back. It takes full to part sun and remains hardy in zones 3-8 even when placed in poor soil quality.
When Nepeta's stems are broken, they release an aroma into the air that can sometimes attract cats, thus its common name, Catmint.

@Edu_Kate
I recently bought one of these and will plant it between a grouping of three 'Sting' arborvitae and 'Karl Foerster' grass and near a 'Sweet Summer Love' clematis. I can't wait to see them all mature.

I will be finding this, thank you, this is just the color combo I need for my "pain in the fanny" hill I am planting. :D

Yes please. This year I planted blue purrsian nepata... It's doing amazing. I'm gonna have to look for this version.

May have to get some!

I have cat's pajamas nepata that is well behaved. Is chartreuse on the loose aggressive? The name sort of implies it might be. Just brought some but have second thoughts about planting it.
