You can generally tell if a gaming channel is good on how their Game Dev videos turn out because it just opens up so many possibilities for the creator to be creative, clever and entertaining. Whether they take these opportunities or not shows their skill in this field.

The only thing the sliders are used for is for changing the ratio between the categories. For instance, having Engine, Gameplay, and Story/Quests all high just means that you're character/team will work an equal amount of time on each. Rather than doing that, you should have a category that is focused on more for different types of games, you'll learn what each genre works best with after you research your past games and what worked well and what didn't.
