@@itsagundam79 what makes something an AEB is that the propulsion mechanism is still air, like a normal springer, but is cycled electronically, instead of manually like most springers. The Rapidstrike uses flywheels to propel darts, so it doesn't count.
First of all, I love what you did with the place. Second of all, I was just celebrating my first Stampede thrift ever, and now i need a Swarmfire on the double!!! Great video, Doc!!! 🔫
@@infinismo I have the Speedswarm (smaller pistol one) but not the Swarmfire (carbine type). I know the words can get jumbled up together with these similar names.
The Stampede is such a great-looking blaster, especially with a nice custom paint job! Just made a deal with a fellow nerfer to buy one he modded with a stouter spring, metal gears and is wired for 2S/3S LiPo. He claims it's hitting around 100 FPS and agreed to take $60 for it. Now I just gotta decide what my color scheme / design theme of all my load out should be, and it can shed the burden of the original N-strike Yellow to finally show its full beauty! I've got a Dart Zone Max Stryker, and plan to purchase a Rival Perses in addition to the above-mentioned Stampede to complete my regular arsenal for nerf battles. I will be running a Rebelle Sweet Revenge as my secondary/sidearm. I'm thinking either a scheme with blue as a primary color with black and white as accents, or black with green and silver accents. I would be painting all the above-mentioned blasters in whichever theme I choose so they look like a nice matched set. Any suggestions on which would look best across all the blasters?
I am proud to say that my first primary was a speedswarm , was playing a nerf war when I was about seven and absolutely dominated with it , ten rounds full auto, those were the days
Man I wish I had a studio like that for filming haha. I imagine it will make filming much easier once winter comes around. As for the blaster, I actually have the original colonial wasp 76 sitting here. (I got the OG purely so people could have contrast between the base model and the monkee mods version. I haven't had a chance to make a video on it, been way too busy with my main channel) This aeg design is actually what I initially wanted. Most other aegs are FAR too complicated for their own good. I don't want complicated, I want reliable. The 76 is just a regular, straight up aeg. No more tricks really needed.
Interesting thing about the 76: there's a kit for it that moves the grip down and forwards for a more stampede look, leaving the motor in the area where the grip was. If you want a scifi look this is a good start imo
The new setup looks great! 👍 While I really enjoy AEBs such as the Stampede and the Vulcan/Havok, the Colonel Wasp 76 is on another level for performance. Completely agree about being careful about painting it, its basically an MP40 silhouette! 😵
I feel like AEBs should get their own category for game balance. That way all the fun isn't ruined just because one guy on the other team happens to be using one
Does it suffer the same issue as the QWK Challenger and Edge where it's picky with darts? Because that's the biggest issue I've seen where if you aren't using the dragon/bamboo-style darts in those blasters, you're gonna have feeding issues
Man, the 76 looks a lot like an MP40. If you still have this, and still don't know a comfortable way to hold it, I believe the actual MP40 is typically held with one hand gripping the magazine, similar to the Russian PPSh-41 due to neither having a handguard, and you obviously don't want to wrap your hand around the barrel, since it'll get hot. That's for real steel, though, obviously with Nerf you can do pretty much whatever you want.
My stock Hasbro Fortnite Stryfe reskin flywheeler is more consistent and accurate than that thing. I understand the appeal of an automatic springer, but the bouncing barrel seems to be compromising whatever extra accuracy you may be getting from the spring design.
Right, so he doesn't actually know what AEG stands for then? No nerf blaster is an AEG, what with the A in AEG standing for Airsoft. Talking about nerf AEGs is like talking about Ducatti's new line of cars.
There are multiple meanings, it stands for air electric gun, airsoft electric gun and automatic electric gun. All these are wrong because we don't use guns but blasters, so it's AEB, automatic electric blaster
