Since Deception I've been a Baraka lover, and seeing our boy being called to be nerfed makes me happy because it shows that NRS gave our boy the recognition he been deserving. 🥹
Smoke gets worse and worse the better you get at the game because a lot of his strings are very reactable knowledge checks. If you know how to beat his options, most of them get him full punished. He's a great scrub killer and really fun though.
Yeah and a problem I was having was the cancels are much harder online or the timing was different. All his mixups are not real unless he is invisible vs a good player as well.

Smoke is a character that goes up a tier by simply switching from ethernet to wifi. He's pretty weak overall compared to other characters and even if you do cancel stuff via his teleport and such its easily reactable. He's truly a wifi warrior
I feel like the worst thing about Baraka for me is the fact that back 3 is also an armor break. I’m not sure if it works on all armored moves but my god. Johnny is also annoying to deal with for me because of constant pressure and plus strings.
Raiden cyrax is even crazier you just hit confirm the storm cell or you hit confirm the launcher move and you still get high damage like with jax but better pressure and chip
You can combo after an uppercut with any character if you hold up after your character will jump into the air after your opponent which leads to a combo, Also if you hold up while blocking then your character will move their block up a little and start blocking jump attacks which if blocked in this way will lead to a full combo but up block takes a second to go back to normal block
Cyrax is the most op MK champ. 100% damage combos in mk9, nerfed to infinity in mk10, didnt become playable in mk11 to not break the game and even as a kameo in mk1 he is still kicking ass. Kneel before the allmighty CYRAX.
Geras could be broken but I legit think his execution is tough enough where it’s fair. Most of his starters are punishable and you have to time his combos so any time freeze situations are wicked low to the ground
Geras is strong but he ain't broken. He doesn't have insurmountable pressure or crazy zoning tools. His a command grab is good and he has tools but he is good but not great anything. For his kameos he gets negative health for like 80% of the cast. And a lot of strings are trash or leave him to get bodied. Takes a bit of skill to get him feared. It's not like Raiden, Baraka or Liu Kang levels of pick and play with him. Johnny is annoying but if you know the match up he can be had.
I know Bossi888 was played for laughs at 0:52 but that sad, defeated, “oh so you’re one of those.” We’ve all felt that. It’s either rage or depression. My man was in the depression phase.
Took him a sec to figure it out, but scorpion with frost assist isn't a great combo, and should be very easy to defend against. Scorpion only has one overhead and it's and the end of a string (1,1,2 or 1,2,2 I think) and it knocks down. When he has frost assist - or any other assist that moves fast and hits low - the only way to mix up into it is through that string. it's a false mix up though cause he can't get a combo from the overhead anyways and it's easy to react to, so just block low and eat the overhead or react to it.

The fact that this mk game allows you to do 3 of the same pop up strings instead of 3 times without the opponent dropping out makes the combo route very simple for every character to execute 35% damage hope they dont nerf this
I'm totally out of the loop like since early 2000 with beat em ups but my goldfish brain saw the potential of this comb and it was an absolute nobrainer.
If they gave Baraka and Cyrax a nerf maybe I would actually see half of the cast online. So far it's only been Scorpion, Baraka, Smoke, and Johnny and they always have Frost, Sareena, or Cyrax lmao
I love it when Cyrax/Baraka/Raiden deniers say, "Just flawless block, bro." Yeah, let me see you pull off consistent flawless blocks against an opponent with a janky ass wifi-connection. I see Pros fail to do it in offline tournaments ain't no way the average player, let alone a beginner, is pulling that off consistently online.
Im gonna be 100% with you bro, for anyone that plays mk1 or watches tournaments this shit is the most boring thing ever i 100% agree with the dude at the start. I dont think Baraka should be nerfed because its fucking baraka he was worthless for 20 years. Cyrax is the issue seeing as almost anyone can run him and get good results.
