After playing the game for almost a year now I've noticed some of the blasters in the line are no longer in the game. Which is weird considering the massive change the game has gone through
I started playing the game around 4-5 years ago , in chapter 1 season 3 , and I'm glad they went for these blasters because they are so much more memorable than the new guns
That's one of the many reasons I stoped playing fortnite a long time ago. They statted changing the map, weapons, theme and all that so drastically it was like nothing in the game was ever consistant. Even when they keep a gun in the game, they'll change the model, the sound, and the function. I know some people like how much it changes, but for me it's hard to stay attached to a game that gets rid of or drastically changes all of it's iconic weapons and locations.
I invited freinds over for a nerf war and one of my friends brought the pump shotgun with three bullets and was talking about how he would destroy everyone else and we all know what happened after that 🤣
Love the real firearm knowledge, some RU-vid’s say some dumb stuff about “real steel” firearms because they have no idea what they are talking about which in turn teaches kids false information about guns and gun safety. Big fan always have been always will be keep up the good work 👍🏻.
I’m unreasonably salty about the epic and legendary tac shotty bc it looks like they ripped it straight out of halo, and knowing Fortnite, they probably did
Most of them are actually good, but overpriced. I think the revolver is very much undervalued because of the barrel. If you leave it off (or even remove the attachment point), it's a solid competitor to the hammershot.
Agree, i really want to have 6SH too but it really overpriced in my country while nerf cheap hammer prime the "Hammerstorm" are on discount here. (Im dual wield hammerstorm and doomlands Negotiator because both are funny bulky looking pistols 😂)
The 6-SH is actually pretty good for performance or competitive nerfers. It's one of the best hammer-primed sidearms if you leave the barrel off or 3D print a snub nose barrel. The grip is more comfortable than the Hammershot's fake grip tape and it holds 1 more shot while still being a holsterable size.
I appreciate in your reviews that you acknowledge the emotional response or just pure dumb fun someone can have with some blasters. I feel like a lot of reviewers only look at them from a performance aspect which is baffling considering they're toys for kids. Of course, the performance aspect can be important too, but I think completely ignoring the emotional response aspect of a toy is wrong.
The Fortnite line is pretty good, actually! There's been some... less-than-ideal blasters (Pump SG and SR come to mind), but let's face it - this is the best Nerf tie-in series out there.
Honestly, they're not that bad even when compared to their counterparts in the Elite or Mega series...IF you can get them for a good price. For example: AR, IR, SMG and B-AR: they're just chunkier Stryfes. Not that much of a disadvantage in a fight. SMG-Zesty: It's a Delta Trooper. BASR and HR: They're just Longstrikes. Heavy SR: It's a better Centurion internally. 6-SH: Just as good or better than the Hammershot. SR: It's a chunkier Persuader. It's meh, but not the worst thing. If you're stuck 1v1-ing a Hammershot, you can still put up a decent fight. Pump SG: Okay, it's garbage. The one saving grace for it is that it's Mega and Mega blasters can usually take on really strong spring upgrades due to their durability. Which means they are worth modding at the very least. Maybe even inline clip mods. Not all blasters can take a spring upgrade without breaking.
@@captsomeguy1 Some extra ones: - The HC is a wonderful alternative to the HotShock and others as a single-shot Mega blaster. Takes the same ludicrous spring weights and is very easy to get to over 150 FPS with short darts. - The TS is not super-practical, but it's decent as a Mega blaster, and using it feels amazing. - The BASR is superior to the Longstrike. Comparing the internals, it's more like a big Tri-Strike.
I feel like this line has some of the best and worst looking blasters. The tac and legendary tac shotguns look awesome, but the hunting rifle is the ugliest thing I've ever seen lol.
2:14~ 6:07~ In the game, E is for Epic, the second highest rarity of weapon(minus weapons that drop from killing bosses, which usually are of Mythic rarity). L is for Legendary, the highest rarity.
I do appreciate how Coop talks about all guns for what they are. Like I was dreading the Pump SG as I love it, but I know many who despise it for its non war tacticallity. To which Coop simply says how its more of a toy to fling foam, and not for wars. Also same for the Nerf Compact SMG, it looks sick to me and I like how he describes it as being for those who like how it looks, like me.
Yes. Sometimes, these blasters are fun just due to their looks and form. There is no shortage of really good blasters out there for battle, but sometimes it's cool just to see how far back you can stand and take out a red solo cup pyramid.
@@Warsav-pact I personally got the B AR as I love bullpups and I really like it. However the BASR-R its really neat. It really depends as I do not know if you want fly wheel or bolt action as they are both different But tbh, the B AR i would recommend just as personally I really like it.
Yooooo coop, correction at 5:18 I picked up a BASR-L last year for my brothers birthday and by then they fixed the mag well incompatible problem (I tested it with my 30 round drum and my 18 round stick mag and both worked like normal) try buying a new one as now all magazines work👍 Also the B-AR Stands for burst assault rifle
Loved this video Coop. I think this range of blasters started as an eye roll for most but developed into what we used to know Nerf for - really quirky, albeit daft but FUN blasters. A little less serious. A cool little find - I noticed my DP-E’s have the top sight of the SP-L replaced with small notches/ lugs. Whether intentional or not but you can actually load each blaster by latching the two together for a prime forgoing the need to holster/ place one aside to do so!
I want to like these so much…they ALMOST have designs that I really like (bullpup, bolt-action, hammer-action), but the cartoonish barrels and giant “FORTNIGHT” logo on all of them just ruin it. The collaboration guns just feel like an excuse not to include more customization and rails. Wish they’d make a new bullpup style gun like the Rayven was. I can’t find a Rayven to save my life within any reasonable price range. I know the bullpup body is useless on a nerf gun, but for some reason I just love the look
Clarification on the different color schemes: R - Rare (blue) E - Epic (purple) L - Legendary (yellow) The colors correlate to the colors used for the rarities in the game.
5:20 nerf: "ok guys so we need to make a sniper rifle for the fornite series of guns. any ideas?" nerf: *adds slam fire to a 4 shot sniper rifle* also nerf: "mistakes were made"
The P90 is an upsetting gun because you could add a 25 mag with this to make it better than it is now because the rival version has the same thing except it has 20 bullet space and this one looks like it could hold 25 at max
The DG is good for cosplaying as a mafia member and a WW2 British or American Soldier Edit: The fact the infantry rifle in game is a M1 Garand but the nerf version is a type of sci-fi looking rifle
I'll just never be able to get over how goofy the proportions of these blasters look, same for their counterparts in the game. A lot of them look like they're foreshortened, so they look like they're tilted towards you when you look at them from the side, all because they have flared-out barrels and undersized stocks. I just can't get into it.
The 6-SH if you just don’t put on the barrel was imo the best nerf pistol until the thundershot came along. It’s still very effective and competitive though.
Na sorry but in my opinion, the thundershot isn’t very good as the grip is made for ants and doesn’t shoot the advertised 80fps In my opinion I think it was overhyped as the next hammershot scene it’s not nerf but I don’t like the thundershot, the 6SH is pretty solid when not adding the barrel and has a comfortable grip, it also shoots really well
For me, I only have the one Fortnite blaster, which is the BASR. And after watching this clip, looks like I actually landed on the top candidate by Mr. Tacti-Cool here. While the BASR is modeled after the L96A1, I think the BASR for me personally is more like Dragunov SVD. And I also fitted my BASR with the now vintage N-Strike tactical scope to look reminiscent of the Dragunov’s PSO 1 scope, so I have the Nerf version of the Dragunov SVD.
You should do a video about what the best 1 handed blasters are for using with shields, flags or otherwise while your other hand can’t be used. For example the best spring powered, highest capacity, easiest to reload with one hand, etc.
FYI, in game, guns go by rarity. It goes common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary. The “E” stands for epic, and epic weapons in the game are purple. Same thing with the legendary, but the legendary is yellow instead of purple.
I have one of them but I have The Fortnite SMG Zesty and the flare and the 6 SH and the Bombs away and the compact SMG and the SMG E and the Heavy SR and the LP and Flintknock
• The SR in Battle Royale is bolt action, but the Save the World version is not. • The Pump SG has has Slamfire because it's a reskin of that Mega two shot breachloader. • The Zesty should've used an AEG, like a Stampede, or other auto Airsoft Rifles. • The HR is neither bolt action (it's straight pull like the nerf SR) nor is it magazine fed.
“Here you can see there is an under barrel grenade launcher, BUT it’s actualy an n strike attachment! SO you can put this on your stryfe or other blaster”
Haha funni opinion time. The BASR is actually an acronym for British Army Sniper Rifle. The standard issue sniper rifle used by the British Army is the Accuracy International AWM, or L115A3. Which the BASR is based off of. So therefor, BASR = British Army Sniper Rifle. (But the Nerf gun has a Dragunov magazine, so. *Insert Fortnite dance moves here*)
they honestly need to make the Double Barrel as a nerf gun, make it shoot either Mega or repurpose those Nerf Trilogy and Sledgefire shells because as both a Fortnite fan and a Doom fan, Nerf really needs to make a new double barrel that feels powerful. the Barrel Break has aged terribly and isn't great
