I think we’re getting old coop back. He looks like he’s loving life again. Stay tacticool dude bro. Never got this many likes thank stay tacticool dude bros.
The Zombie Strike line is probably my favourite line post-Elite. It's a wonderful mixture of fun, and battle-effective blasters, with a splash of cool gimmick ones too. The Sledgefire especially becomes way more fun with a couple simple mods - You ever tag someone with a shotgun shell?
@@Zathren The Slingfire's one of my faves. It has some much lower limits unless you dump money into it but it's just fun. That and Hammershot are two of the most engaging I have. And personally, I'm just not a fan of the Scravenger, it's got too much of that "random crap in the vague shape of a gun" vibe.
Yeah I think he operates real steel quite a bit, he used to compare nerf to real weapons a lot a couple years ago, but youtube stopped liking that which is why I think he stopped.
I love to see that you are getting back to your old 2017-2019 self! With the new stereotypes and this new blaster series overview. Keep up the good work!
Side note, the Nailbiter can be 'modded' to improve FPS. Its mass manufactured so it varies from blaster to blaster, but there is a gap between the plunger tube and the clip. I have two and out of the box one was better than the other and after finally figuring out why the crapper one was improved just by adding 'insert personal choice' to reduce the gap between tube and clip. While not a massive increase it can be enough to go from manual dart throwing range to an actual blaster. Regardless, as an adult, its a hell of a lot of fun to play with.
The Hammershot was one of the best nerf guns I have ever bought, it has been very reliable and still after years fires just as good as it did when i first got it
I got the double strike a while ago and I just can’t get over how nice the trigger feels. Every time I try to describe it to someone I say, “pulling the trigger feels like drinking great value chocolate milk” because it really does
Glad this series overview got updated. There's been a lot of Zombie Strike since, and it gets more people to see the Quadrot. Edit: while the Scravenger comes with a lot of tactical attachments and has slam fire, the Slingfire is more common and (to be honest) less ugly.
That being said, it's understandable. Slingfire and Scavenger are like 2 siblings that decided to go their separate ways. Slingfire is Form over Function, while Scavenger is Function over Form
I stopped buying nerf after like 2016 but my favorite out of this line is definitely the Sledgefire, Slingfire, hammershot and Doublestrike They hit that perfect balance of effectiveness and goofyness. I wish they made more damn sledgefire shells and didn't abandon them just to make the same thing with the Trilogy.
Devastated that the Revreaper didn't even make the honorable mentions list 😂 I've built much harder hitting, "better" blasters, but at most events, I find myself going back to it faithfully. Even stock, I had it reliably hitting 91 fps, but after cutting out the...well, factory nerfing...from the shell, it clears 110+ easily and even though that hardly matches 3D printed stuff, nobody cares about a field full of Caliburns or whatever; the Revreaper however turns heads every time. Between that distinctly abrasive flywheel noise and surprisingly reliable RoF, I've nailed more tags with it than I probably should have, and I'll never get over the "emotional response" that I and the people around me get from it. Zombie Strike as a line is Hasbro in their element; prioritizing fun, gimmick laden blasters that evoke how I felt as a kid in the 90s. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
Coop: This series isn't about practicality. Also Coop: Starts the video talking about perhaps the one of the best Nerf sidearms for practical purposes.
I already own the hammershot and it's really good. My friend has the sledgefire and doublestrike as well. I really want the scravenger.. just my thoughts Oh and I own the crossfire and it kinda sucks. It's still better than no nerf blaster but definitely outclassed in every aspect.
We did humans vs zombies when I was in college, and the teachers said we couldn't bring any "distracting" nerf guns into class. So, I spent some time the first night of HVZ making a holster for a double strike and a hammer shot out of cardboard and duct tape. Good times!
You can also use the side strike holster to hold magazines the ones I’ve texted have been the 10 round magazines and the 12 round ones and they work pretty well
It’s sad that they discontinued this series. Despite my opinion traditionally being indifferent, when they stopped making these blasters I realized how fun they were to play with, and missed out on most of the epic blasters like the sledgefire
Funnily enough, there's technically more dart blasters he could've included in this. There's a ZS Roughcut 2 pack, the Target Set which includes a ZS coloured Jolt, and there's a ZS Magnus 2 pack.
23:10 The double strike is my most reliable nerf gun, it'll never let you down and it's really easy to hide it in a coat or a pocket, I've done that a lot of times. The only issue I've had with it is that the darts can fall out of the front.
Personally, I love the way the Crossfire bow looks without the bow arms. It’s a little on the long side but it’s still very slim and 4 dart Smart AR works well enough as a sidearm
Man, that's a walk down memory lane. I remember the reviews from some of those older ones. I remember back when you still did raffles and commissions, somebody wanted a Sidestrike painted up in black with a little red dot like a laser.
Nerf should do a blaster like a double action revolver. It can be a semiautomatic springer if you want, but you can also pull back on the hammer for more accurate shots.
Hey Coop as a 28 year old I been following your channel for the last month and I’ve watched a lot of your older and newer stuff. I bought my first rival blaster because of the channel. This is really fun Thank you for being pretty awesome 👏
coop, just wanted you to know ive been watching your vids since i was like 11 or 12, and im going into college now. i know that at 17 i sorta outgrew the target audience for this channel, but it brings me a lot of nostalgia to still watch. thanks for the memories.
The Zombie line is my favorite. I feel though not all their blasters, but most have a very realistic aesthetic vs other lines... or modern I should say.
I remember when the doublestrike and hammershot came out and being able to fire them one handed was a completely new feature. Oh the good days of nerf...
This was a great video. And it goes a long way to show how well Coop's videos are put together, and what a thorough and excellent reviewer he is. A lot of fun to watch too. I hadn't seen at least three of these blasters ever before.
Would have been interesting to have a saw blaster that would spin the saw when you fire it, or one that's connected to the flywheels. Might have been fun although with a springer it would have to sacrifice some muzzle velocity
Im gonna get hearfelt for a sec- I wanna thank you coop, just for like, being here on YT and making content that anyone can enjoy. Your sense of humor and just generally pleasant personality pulled me in a while back, and im still here lol. I myself have undergone major identity changes since becoming a certified dudebro (or dudettebro rather) and seeing you going through something hard really inspired me, honestly. I know this is like, wayyyyy over the top for a nerf review channel but i felt it needed to be said! Stay tacticool, bro
A way to make the silent strike completely overpowered is by adding two flywheels so you blow the dart into the flywheels then the flywheels YEET the dart out.
Great job coop! I’d love to see like a top ten blasters every year, I know that allot of other Creators do that as well but I would like to see you’re opinion. Keep up the good work!
I love those innuendos🤣👌 btw you can customize those blasters so awesome when you paint them realisticly. There are so many tools but in the wrong colours
Zombies strike is a really cool series I own the longshot, 2 doublestrikes, a doominator, a sidestrike (with holster) a crosscut, a flip fury, and 2 hammershots and my cousin owns a brainsaw
the double shot is my personal favourite pistol, i think it looks really cool and has similar perks to the hammershot, with another perk of how friggin small it is!
I think an updated fortnite series overview would be a good 1 to do. There's probably as much blasters in the fortnite line as there is in zombie strike, and zombie strike has been around for twice as long.
Hey Coop, I liked how you brought back the series overviews. I realized that there has not been an Accustrike Overview video yet. Will that ever be made?
My favorite ones are the lever-action weapons because I think lever action guns are sick, as well as the sledge-fire, for a similar reason, but with that gimmick Also I came to a realization, that not only does the Sledge-fire look a bit like the Loch and Load from Tf2, but you need to aim a bit upward, like a grenade launcher.
Funny enough, my first year of college we did a HvZ and I picked this up when it was my turn to be human. Maybe it was luck but that thing carried me! Super easy to take down zombies, held its own in the last minute when we were getting swarmed. So much fun, I’ll always love this thing!
Great video. I agree with the top picks but what about the zombie strike roughcut and magnus and there was a vortex blaster that I don’t remember the name of but I would have liked to see those in there, really dig the roughcuts but I can’t find them anywhere. Keep up the great work man I appreciate it
My guess is that he skipped them because they are repaints of things originally made in other lines rather than being remolds like that roughcut like one with a chainsaw. I'm pretty sure some of the crossbow ones are also in the Rebelle line, so maybe they were just forgotten about because there are so many.
Really wish they would have re-released the sledge-fire. I love mine. It's probably my favorite derp around nerf blaster. I need to find some more hammer-shots though. I think I gave all of mine away to my nephews. Visually I prefer the Slingfire over the Scravenger. But both are super fun to play with.
