@@arnaldojunior8924 É "story mode" pra eles, "history" é pra história real e "story" é pra história fictícia ou narrativa, é semelhante a história e estória em português, só que é fácil de se confundir, porque na nossa língua a palavra história está correta em ambos os casos, e a grande maioria das pessoas nem usa estória de toda forma, acho que essa palavra nem existe oficialmente.

I feel the same thing about Cetrion tbh. I mean, at least Kollector somewhat fits the MK lore.

Cetrion doesn't fit the lore because she literally wasn't mentioned until now (just like Geras), but Geras has an excuse because he's not an Elder God or anything, he's just Kronika's son. But Cetrion, is a fucking Elder God, and if I'm correct, she has never been mentioned before MK11 which makes no sense. At least the Kollector fits the lore, being a Naknadan slave and all, because I really want him to be more important later on.

@@yonazynthedunmer3884 I don't think it's the reason why Cetrion doesn't fit... Every entry of the franchise (and well, every fighting game ever) introduces new characters all the time. It keeps things fresh and allows to expand the universe. So it's not a bad thing per say. And I'll say it again : Geras is a fantastic addition. His capabilities are scarily awesome. His voice acting and personality are top-notch. And albeit his role was that of a jobber (like many others...), he still came out as pretty badass. Cetrion, IMO, sucks not really because she popped out of nowhere (even though it's weird such a powerful character, and the polar opposite of Shinnok, would manifest only now) but pretty much because her appearance doesn't fit Mortal Kombat at all. And coming from a game that has cyborgs, ninjas, wizards and even a goddamn actor... That's quite the prowess. She's almost "too clean" for such a dark and campy universe. Not to mention that for such a supposedly powerful character (an Elder God, so even more powerful than freaking Raiden and Fujin), she doesn't make her power felt at all. It was already weird to see Raiden getting his ass whooped, but apparently he takes on a mortal form whenever he's fighting. But for Cetrion? How can she be beat by Kano for example? You don't feel the "oomph" gameplay-wise. Even if it obviously needs to be balanced. And even if we take here appearance or even her role in the story out of the equation : she's just boring as hell. All her quotes sounds like Jehovah Witnesses : "Come join Kronika", "Believe in Kronika", "Kronika has a plan for you..." I mean, Shinnok is her son, but at least he did things on his own. As for Kollector, I mostly like his gameplay to be honest. He reminds me of Hsien-Ko with all the random trinkets he has. But yeah, I would have loved if he was more than a slave and Shao Kahn's lackey... It would have been great to have such a secretive character come out of the shadows with his arsenal of relics. It would have been much more interesting to have a hidden powerhouse revealing he's been amassing powerful artefacts since the first MK tournaments ! Similar to the... Collector, from Marvel Comics.
