NERF MOD: Dual Proton Pack Jupiter 

What the??! All those poor fools thinking they can go up against dual protons with just a pool noodle.

Love how even though he's put 20,000 rounds through that singular blaster (which is still highly impressive considering what I'm about to say), with the fire rate in mind doing the math that's less than 20 minutes of collective time spent pulling the fire trigger and shooting. Crazy!

I want to see the people who thought the raider with the 35 round drum would break HVZ, see this

Love my proton pack. If I ever need a good chuckle, I throw it on for a bit and go to town. It's a brute on the field.

Purdue hosted an event called Boilerdome, we had a guy show up with a Proton Pack running through a Jupiter. It terrified the players and when I was allowed to run it for a match earned me a new nickname (think really really fast spray gun/tank). Worked really well, the only issue it had was occasionally acorns and other debris would get caught in the pack(due to loading) and cause it to jam completely, which required the pack to be shutdown and taken apart.

Man, can you imagine being a little kid at these events? Like, all you got is a hammershot or a stryfe, maybe two or three tacticool attachments; you're super hyped to meet like minded people and have fun but then the game starts and this dude comes out and just fucking hoses everyone in foam before you can let out a single shot. Goddamn.

last christmas when i got my Prometheus i literally spent like 5 whole days firing it straight. (charging took under an hour bcs i used my hobby charger) i set up a ball trap and wow... i shot like 50000 rounds and reloaded the 250 ball cap at least 40 times a day it was just so fun

I will agree that the Jupiter with a proton pack is likely the ultimate HVZ blaster. Got to march alongside you at Endwar and witness it first hand. One of our players has the mag-fed Jupiter and it is fearsome, but like any Rival blaster, somewhat limited in range.

So I just prefer pump actions in general over auto blasters. Imagine having a proton pack connected to a rivalburn or something. Get a wireless button to start the motor, put it on the pump and voila. Put a weaker spring in it and it could be a lot of fun, and far less OP. Plus your arm would die and fall off before you could run out of ammo, with even a modest hopper in your backpack.

Remember, switching to your secondary is always faster than reloading.

Captain Xavier and Out of Darts in a competition?

What happens to all the darts/balls that are shot? Can you imagine having to pick all those up? Also does everyone just lose their darts or do they somehow get theirs back?

Although weight and movement would be a problem, what if you had a proton pack made for an army bag? You could place it down and use it as a shield, and have a lot of ammo to mow down people with xD

I knew this was eventually coming. It's better performing than I imagined.

The amount of ammo you're expending in a single burst(s) is probably the biggest risk/disadvantage....but otherwise your setup is awesome! Reminds me of armored core lol, mostly due to the rof. You've got a winner there bud. Great video! :)

Now all you need is a modded hopper with a vacuum on top so that you can suck up shot rounds directly back into the Hopper. Sounds crazy, but I'm sure you could do it!

I was with you on Mission 2 at EndWar 2018, so I can definitely say that Jupiter Proton Packs are insane. (But you really should keep an eye out for flanking zombies :P )

Hey Luke! I've been wanting to do a dual Proton pack since you first teased the Jupiter! Haven't seen an official proton pack in person, but I have encountered Tyr. . . I'd love to get on a waiting list for 'em. Also I live local to you, so if I succeeded in breaking something, it would be trivial to bring it to the shop to diagnose.

I remember watching when you were prototyping the jupiter. I gave your book to a friend and git them into modding with it.

You are not a bad player. What happened was your team wasn't watching your back. Innovation is part of being a good player and you've got that in spades.

I absolutely think the proton pack is a amazing great idea and I am actually sad I did not have a chance to buy one of the beta units but cannot wait to purchase one in the near future I have for Jupiter's and one all ready to go at 3 us so cannot wait for one to purchase very excited would love the hawk on any waiting list and willing to purchase at any time. Also I have been in the plumbing and heating and cooling industry for many many years and come across all different shapes and sizes and material of different tubing and more so possibly if you let me know what you are looking for there very well may be a great chance that I can help you find it also I have accounts with every major Plumbing distributor in Western New York so I have many contacts where I am able to purchase anything that I might need so if you'd like feel free to contact me and maybe I can help you out

I really want to buy a Jupiter, and I'm not complaining about it when I say this. The price is a bit high but I'm sure as production revs up you will make it more accessible to the masses.

I will buy one. Possibly more than one. That said, if you're looking for hose, I suggest CPAP machine hose. It's about the right size, and reasonably easy to get ahold of...and you can find it with connectors at both ends.

I tagged a player out using a proton pack 60 yards away using my ridiculously high powered homemade co2 precision rifle firing x darts. I felid a blaster with an effective range of 120 yards so I actually function as a sniper, I get high-value targets usually 50-70 yards away, so anyone with a Prometheus, Nemesis, and of course the holy grail for campers like myself to take out, proton packs. the Co2 blaster is slow to reload, so I'm usually out of combat range with a "spotter" armed with a Nemesis in case I get discovered.

When you said there will always be some sort of tether, is there a reason (aside from cost) that slip rings (such as is used by power vacuum cleaners, and other fluid+electric over-moulded vinyl tubing) was not suitable?

It would be cool to see the Jupiter's made into gauntlets so you could feel like iron man! plus it would free up your hands.

How about you mount those two protons on your shoulders, for example on the straps of the backpack? Would give you the Ironman war machine kinda firepower and you would still be able to carry another prime, wire the triggers into your gloves and boom, superior firepower

So when will the Jupiter's internals be moulded into wrist-lets or gloves on the back of the hand similar to Shocker's (animated spiderman show from 90's) wrist emitters? stream the feed mechanism and tubes along the shirt sleeve to a slim backpack, make it a one piece shirt or jacket one can slip on and off.

In theory using a 1 gallon water tank would be great since it has an inbuilt slant so it would be a good hopper and it is really big
