Usually its a black hole, so they can't even dodge even if they wanted to

Team combos like the one you pointed out are generally true. After every hit landed, the player is fully stunned and can't switch directions at all. So you're right about them being hypothetically able to escape, but if the combo is done properly, it's a fully true combo, making it inescapable because the player is stunned the whole time throughout. Hope that helps!

@@Xerophax735 I'm not exactly talking about time in between hits to dodge. More like, let's say, I do Neutral jab with Gauntlet, my teamate does neutral jab with gauntlet right after and it combo'd. If the opponent holds up, he will be launched straight up instead of the way he's supposed to because we did the same move twice in the same combo. It also happened to me multiple online. People would combo with let's say, Hammer Neutral Light into Gravity cancel Neutral Light with another hammer and I would press up and would get launched straight up instead of the intended way. So I suppose in the combo I mentionned before, they weren't holding a specific direction or maybe it's specific moves ?

Kamasi Reborn || I’m not actually aware of that mechanic - the holding a direction to get launched a certain way. I don’t really have an answer for you other than that if you’re right, maybe the majority of the community just doesn’t know about that.
