@@Qwerty-ks8dn Not sure if you meant to saying evolving there, but regardless, I feel like now, more than ever, there is a real surge in unusual bands. More available and moderately priced gear is part of it, but so is the mentality. You have bands like Imperial Triumphant that are doing strange genre mashing with jazz, psychedelic elements, and black/death metal. Sure, Gorguts was starting to experiment with a similar style years ago, but what I'm trying to say is that these types of bands are becoming more common (seemingly).

@@EscapingAgharthabandofficial Strange does not necessarily equal good, that is pretty naive. There are plenty of talent-free tone-deaf hipster bands that just play random tunes, and believe that just because they have an "experimental" approach that this automatically equates to great music. But this type of delusion has existed from way before rock music...

@@Qwerty-ks8dn I'm not saying that just because they're strange that they're good. But unless you experiment, you'll never find/create a new and interesting style of music. Experimentation leads to great music, as is the case with Gorguts and Imperial Triumphant. Without experimentation the music scene stagnates and grows horrendously boring.

You've got pretentious non-talents getting ahead of themselves, trying to reinvent the wheel before they even understand how the old wheel works. It's amateurs trying to jump to the big leagues artistically in one big optimistic jump. Gorguts is a great example of rubbish being sold as "innovative art".

As per my initial statement, i find it interesting and creative and i applaud that. I will keep an eye and ear on this band. I;m sorry if you cannot accept that. Actually that's a lie, i'm not sorry at all, lol.

@@andreapetucco6746 The Great Old Ones - Cosmicism Entropia - Vacuum Gojira - From Mars to Sirius Beyond Creation - Algorithm All 4 of those- *any* 4 of those would absolutely RUN this album through the nearest mud available. All of those are unequivocal 10's- this here is a 5-6, at best. Edit- My initial post was merely to compare the groups, noting similar qualities, not to dismiss this album. The numbers are abstract, and I will listen to this again and give it more chances. The reason for the "low score" though was simply because I was not instantly drawn in and blown away by every track as with certain other albums. Forget the numbers, if you like this, listen to any of those 4 that you haven't. You will likely enjoy.

And talent hehe ;) Anyway, that numbers that you just gave are just numbers. Without a measuring unit they are totally meaningless. And how can you put a measuring unit to music?! In my humble opinion you should try to digest better this album, it's not something that you'll understand fully in one/two spin, like the one you compared it with.. Peace my firend!

You're totally right though- the numbers are abstract and completely moot in a case like this, as they merely serve to represent my subjective appreciation for those particular albums. And those aren't my favorite bands, just some I like. The funny thing is, my initial comment actually was in no way meant to be a dig or negative critique, merely my distillation and impression upon an intense first listening. Clearly you were offended to some degree and felt the need to defend this, aggressively so, disparaging the groups I brought up in comparison. You say peace, but talk of "beating the shit out," ironic wording. I've the distinct impression that of the two of us, only one has actually listened to all five of the albums I'm talking about here... I will give this another listen after a while though. Everything takes time to unravel and fully appreciate, same is true for the albums I listed. I advise giving them a listen if you haven't. For me this Immoto album truly sounds like a distillation of components from those 4 however. You, and others, will likely enjoy them. That's my point bud. My opinion is humble too though of course... Go in peace and be well...

Both bands started with death metal and evolved into their own original style, but Nero Di Marte is more far beyond.

Actually the frontmen of the two bands seem to be friends, so they may have inspired each other

Try The Great Old Ones, Entropia, Gojira, and Beyond Creation. All have various sounds and themes these guys seem to be attempting, but the executions are cleaner and more pleasurable for me.
