NES Controller Exact Replica (NEW) 

I tried third-party controllers for both the SNES and N64 that were sold by the NRS site; wound up returning both. Nowadays, I buy the replacement inner pads they sell for them, and take apart the original controllers for cleaning.

25 years... DAMN I feel old.

Many of our customers often inquire about the difference between the Original NES Controller and the NES Controller Exact Replica that Nintendo Repair Shop sells. The video below shows that there is virtually no difference between the original and replica controller other than possibly quality. The original and replica controllers look and feel exactly alike. The only difference between them is that the original was manufactured over 25 years ago where as the replica controllers are newly manufactured. We find that there are significantly less repairs with the replica controllers than the original NES controllers. Check them out yourself and we think you'll be surprised which one you prefer!

I bought a replica NES Controller and it doesnt work at all.. Somtimes it does the opposite of what i push. What's wrong with my controller? :(

....continued because I accidentally submitted, while my 25 year old controller that I got from a yard sale for a dollar just needed to be taken apart and cleaned. Then put back together. I recommend buying the pads for your controller if they need repair. These kinda suck.

There is a ton of diff. Just look at them. Wire on new one smaller. Nintendo is no printed.

there's a very high difference, sure they look almost the same, but they are really cheap and thus they got a very low quality, i already got 3 nes and 1 snes one.

The new controllers are cheap China knockoffs you can get on eBay for $4.00. Do yourself a favor, order new pads off eBay, disassemble the controller, let all the plastic parts soak in water with Dawn soap. Use a pink eraser on the black connections on the circuit board and clean off with electrical cleaner or isopropyl alcohol with a q-tip. Dry off the circuit board, Run every the plastic pieces off after wading any dirt off, dry, and reassemble. If the circuit board itself is bad, buy a used controller off eBay and follow above cleaning process.

The difference is that the new controllers are cheaply made pieces of garbage. Although the originals are 25 years old, they have lasted this long and will probably last longer than the cheap knockoffs.
