I don't know what impresses me more. Either that you beat Battletoads in 2 player mode, or that you found someone who could keep up with you on this game.
See this is why being able to hit each other is badass. Because the synergy of two people who know what they're doing feels REALLY good to play and to watch.
It’s incredible how it was possible to have 2 players simultaniously on screen . because even nintendo was conserned about this so they scrapped this idea in their sypermariobros games. Heck even donkeykong country on gameboycolor lacks a team mode despites it was made 10 years later on a more powerful system.
when i was kid i play her on sega genesis but i never finish the game and with 2 players is more easy i try it that with friends is more easy but i never finish it
@@raphaelbhz If you look at 35:19, it's easily noticeable. If you keep watching to the boss part, that's where it's the most easiest noticeable. I do not know if the person played it on FC-3 Plus. I remember playing this game on FC-3 Plus, and my character moved up after landing on the giant snake in the snake level, and it looked like some kind of glitch. I hate unlicensed machines. The FC machines are unlicensed machines, and they do not read games correctly.
I don't believe there is a game in existence that has so much variety, but is so fun through it all. I have played this game for as long as I can remember and finally beat it when I was 17. I am now 27 and have beaten it quite a few more times since then (once you learn the tricks and patterns, it gets a bit easier). The greatest accomplishment of my life was beating this game without warps or continues. My dream ever since has been to beat the game 2-player, but sadly, I don't believe this will ever be realized.......... Even if it was tool assisted, it was fun to watch. To bounce General Slaughter or Robo Manus back and forth with headbutts...Thanks, guys!

Este juego es impresionante! Eso sí, no sé si a alguien más le pasó lo que voy a contar a continuación, pero cuando lo jugué, en su época junto con mi hermano, en el modo de dos jugadores y logramos llegar a la etapa del “Clinger Winger", uno de los vehículos al momento de arrancar se “bugueaba", o sea, se quedaba detenido y el otro sí se movía, haciendo que la bola energética nos matara a ambos... ¡hací como lo leen! Y esto siempre se repetía, haciéndonos al final desistir y, por lo tanto, nunca haberlo podido terminar en el modo de dos jugadores. Siempre pensamos que, a lo mejor, nuestra copia de «Battletoads» estuvo defectuosa o algo por el estilo. Y bueno, al final así nos quedamos, hasta la actualidad, con ese misterio y la pregunta de: ¿Qué fue lo que nos pasó al llegar a ese nivel del juego? En fin... y esa fue mi anecdota con este titulo que, a pesar de todo, le tengo mucho respeto y cariño, conservándolo en su respectiva caja y en excelentes condiciones hasta en la actualidad. Así que, si alguien lee este comentario y les sucedió algo parecido, o tienen alguna respuesta que pudiera aclarárnoslo luego de tantos años, se los agradecería mucho! ¡Gracias de antemano por haber llegado hasta aquí, y saludos cordiales!

@@carlossalcedo1607 si al jugador 2 le queda uno o mas continues, podes terminarlo con un jugador, y despues de pasarlo el otro jugador se suma apretando start. Horrible bug, pero no es "imposible" jaja
@magnificent666 We are not so good. We are using an tool assisted emulator for our longplays. The sense from that project is more to archive classic games then proof gaming skills.
It's unbelievable for me now that I managed to beat that game a couple of times. Now I wouldn't be able to repeat each level multiple times to memeorize all the hazards and rewards. Still, I beat it ;)
8BitSplendor relax tough guy, it's PAL waaaay easier than the U.S. version, due to its slowness, u can have a time to react on level 7 and 11 ( don't reply ti my comment , bitch)
We can save everytime and try every scene so often will they work. We need a lot of patient while this longplay but our gaming skills in Battle Toads is really weak.
wow. quite possibly the most hillarious moment was @41:01 when the both of you started passing that weird gravitational, spiraling thingy by doing head-butting it from one side to another :)) Just, awesome :p
People should read the description "TOOL ASSISTED". Watch 35:00 onward. Watch how (player 1?) the green toad starts to get out of frame, and can fall off corners easier. Still cool to watch tho.
We need a rerelease of this, Battlemaniacs, Battletoads & Double Dragon and the Arcade Game in the same vein as the TMNT: Cowabunga Collection, that way we could get any Screen Tearing, Flickering and Lag removed
@@bennel3588 Not sure what they stand for, but they're broadcast signals used in certain regions. NTSC is used in North America, South America, Korea, and Japan. PAL is mainly a thing in Europe, Australia, and some Asian countries. Nowadays though, all that's gone and it's mostly the same across the world. Also due to games being in different broadcast standards, PAL games won't work on NTSC systems and vice versa.
How fast do you think they ride the bikes? I think it varies between 180 to 200 km/h, reaching 300 km/h in the last part. A hug to the fans of this masterpiece!
What up with the Rat Race part? Did Rash's glitch have to do with Zitz hitting the bomb? This was a nice playthrough despite it being a TAS. I have the Genesis version of this and beat it after so much hassle (had to use an Infinite Lives code for it, though).
I could never beat that level. Pink Kitty Rose said that the player 2 bike does not work, but I think she played on a machine that plays NES games, but one that is not licensed by Nintendo. If it's not licensed, it might not play the game well.
Why does this game have friendly fire (hurt teammate) on the whole time? On top of that you need lot of patience to beat turbo tunnel and clinger winger.
I wonder what tools were being used. Seems to look fine to me. I must admit though that the sound seems a little off. I have a video on a similar subject on my channel, and it would seem it's in a higher octave, sped up or something. Or maybe that's the tool?
They should have swapped the 2nd and 4th stages. I think a lot of people hit that speeder bike part and neeeever see the rest of the game. I think Stage 4 was really cool, but is easier and would have let more people experience the game.
too bad its a TAS (see comment below), as i rather see people doing games the real way thx for warning us that its all TAS's (wish that never existed) TAS = cheat, cuz you get help for completing a game... and getting help from a program, means cheat, sry to say so
I guess you guys were playing the PAL version of the game so you guys won't experience that glitch in clinger-winger which makes it impossible to complete the game in 2 player mode.
In the NTSC versions of the game. There is a servere glitch in the 2-player mode in the Clinger-Winger stage where the second player couldn't even move, as if the controller wasn't even unplugged into the system. The bug was fixed in the PAL versions of the game.
To me, it seems like the game is harder to beat with 2 players. Everyone else even posts that the game is harder with 2 players. One of the gameplays with annotations also tells about the game is best done with only one player, because two player mode makes it harder, and why it makes it harder.
