A review of the Sage Creatista Plus. We take a look to see if this machine that is 4 times the price of the base machines has 4 times the performance. We also compare it to our favourite machine. The Nespresso Vertuo.
You don’t have to muck around with settings each time, I programmed in my perfect cappuccino, flat white, lungo etc the one time and that’s it...so all you have to do is turn the knob to what coffee you are having and press go, settings already in there 🤷🏻♀️ not rocket science....looooove my machine 👍🏻
The Creatista, like other traditional Nespresso machines, is designed for volumes approx 25-150ml. Ristretto, Espresso up to Lungo. It brews with a traditional pump. The Vertuo is designed to make drinks up to 400ml, and brews using a centrifuge system. If you like larger drinks, go for the Vertuo. If you prefer smaller drinks, the Creatista probably extracts better flavour. What the Creatista really does better than other machines is foam milk. The point is not to produce enough foam to fill a room. The point is that, among automated home/consumer machines, it can produce by far the best microfoam - something Sage (the UK brand of the Australian company Breville) has really perfected.
Thanks for your helpful review, BUT something is wrong. You can‘t change the temperature of the water for coffee. You „only“ can change the temperature of the milkfroth and the quantity of the coffee. Thats a difference!
5.45 Milk: The Creatista 'steams' the milk while the Aeroccino 'whisks' it......so yes, the froth/texture/final result will be diff...completely different. Wand steaming will ALWAYS give better results.
Indeed, the consistency of the froth is seems to be different. I dont think i prefer the bubbly looks of the aeroccini milk. Think im gonna go with steam frother instead. P/s: Still deciding which to get 😅
You are actually wrong in what you are saying you only have to set the milk froth, mike heat and how much coffee goes in your mug once as it keeps its settings
All my friends that escaped from working at Starbucks but actually miss the process of making the coffee have this machine and all my friends that are boujie and just want fantastic fast coffee at home have one of the Vertuo machines with all the Vertuo glass accessories lol
Surely the problem with the Aerocc is that it spins the milk, it doesn't steam it. Saying that, it does an amazing job. But our new Creatista is a league ahead and beautifully made. I find the minute or so it takes to make a coffee is fun. I certainly agree with most of your points.
Had mine 3 weeks. Worked great for 2 weeks now it wont froth or heat milk at all. Cleaned the hell out of everything makes no difference. Absolute waste of money... Load of shite.
Hi! How do you adjust water temperature on your Creatista? All I can do on mine is adjust how hot the milk is going to be 🤔 It would be useful when I make a lungo and add cold milk from the fridge...
Just curious as to your view of the Creatista after a few months of ownership? I’m tempted to get the plus but there are a lot of negative reviews online and issues with the steam wand putting me off...
Do you mainly drink espresso? If you mainly drink coffee (8oz) such as long black or Americano I would easily go with a vertuo machine and a separate aeroccino frother, will be cheaper and MUCH easier to clean. I did try replacing the unit in this review and had the same issues. I recently purchased the Lattissima one (review coming soon) and had the same issues. The milk would go everywhere and the cleaning involved either putting it in the dishwasher after EVERY USE or soaking it for 30 minutes in dishwasher liquid after every single use. If you have a separate aerroccino it literally takes 20 seconds to wash. I am super happy with my vertuo but that may be because I never have espresso’s. I mainly have latte’s. If I wanted an espresso machine I would not get this machine. You can get the same quality coffee out of machines half the price.
@@Melissa001 I would go with a Vertuo Machine and a separate milk frother. Will be less than half the price and in my opinion a much better choice. If you for whatever reason do not like the Vertuo machines then try the citiz machine with milk frother attached. Again, half the price and just as good and also a lot easier to clean and maintain. Make sure you get it during one of their many many promos throughout the year where you get £60 worth of free coffee. If unsure you can buy from somewhere like Amazon who will take it back if you are not happy.
bought one after trying the tassimno machines which franbkly taste nothing like coffee and seem to be for making long drinks with uht whipped milk ! great coffee. black of course and creat frother for what ever you want to use it for , one downside the lcd screen is in a stupid place and you cant read if if daylight is on it so i have to hold my hand over it to shade it as my machine has a window behind it , thanks for the review
I have now had 2 of these machines... They both worked fantastically for a month and then both suffered faults with the frother... I am now looking for a new machine and defo not a sage product..
I’ve never been able to get milk to the correct flat white consistency using my standard (one-button) Aeroccino, it always turns out frothy on the top only and effectively results in a cappuccino. The steaming capability here has me considering this as an upgrade, is the steamer that good?
Thanks for this video! I LIKE that it has all the settings, but does it have presets or anything to speed up the process if you have a favorite set of settings?
I just bought this machine and when I first turn the knob for menu choices, the knob seems flimsy like it's been used for months. Is that how it's supposed to be?
@@TruthReviews thank you. I’ll tell you why -I did some research;) the creatista plus uses the original Nespresso capsules which are available everywhere (third party ones) and you can get around 100 capsules for £10 on Amazon. The virtuo which is designed for americanos may be cheaper but in the long run you pay more for the capsules as they are the new style which currently only Nespresso offer. I do occasionally make lattes and cappuccinos :)
Thanks on the honest review I think I will just stick to my old school basic nespresso machine and buy a cheap foam maker from baba. If it doesn’t hack it I will then buy a new machine 👌
