Ok thats great so here’s the sequence: add water and descaler, unlock and then press and hold button for 7 seconds, lock, unlock press and hold button for 7 seconds, then lock and press to enter descale mode. It would be so much simpler if Nesspresso simply wrote this out as a flow diagram…. BTW all descaler is the same chemical……..

This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ru-vid.comUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.

I wish I’d found this video months ago!! I even phoned Nespresso the previous time and was talked through the descaling process because none of the official Nespresso videos worked. Thank you for your simple explanation, it’s worked. Goodness knows what Nespresso had me doing but it wasn’t this!

Your video was so helpful, better than all the videos I have watched, including Nespresso. I was watching RU-vid last night, and it just happened yours was on. What a money saver! It was my last resort before calling the company. I was able to descale, clean and get the white light on/off back, and brew a cup. Before I had constantly flashing orange light. Very helpful! An excellent tutorial! Thanks Meaghan! I might add that if the machine won't enter descale mode, I've found unplugging the machine then plugging back in has resolved that issue and descaling process can be started as you describe.

Thank you for great tutorial. That said you went the fastest during the more complicated parts/steps instead of slowing down for them. Had to keep going back and replaying. No need to fast forward the 7 seconds hold part etc

Thanks for the video. Finally got this to work. You need to wait in between steps to see the fast blinking orange. This is beyond ridiculous though (especially for the price of these machines), there should be a descale button.

Your video is better than the official video... but I hope you are not using "spring water" in your machine, because that will destroy your machine. Bottled water can mean totally different things. It could mean Spring water, Reverse Osmosis Water (great for the machine to last forever, and you only need to descale once a year) or it could mean distilled water (you will never need to descale the machine). I worked in the Water Industry for 6 years. Ps most bottled water in Canada and the USA is literally tap water from a municipal well or spring, it still has fluoride and chlorine in it. 🤷‍♂️
