hey, I tried your fix and I know that it worked for many here but it did not work for us. I wanted to share another tip for those that resetting didnt fix. We called and went through their tech support showing video of what we had tried to them. They also suggested the 3 button reset trick first, but after that failed while showing them they had me clean the clear plastic ring where the cartridge gets placed. Apparently the barcode on the cartridge is read through that clear plastic ring, and ours didnt appear especially dirty but after we cleaned that ring with a slightly damp towel (just top and bottom, in place, dont remove it) it worked! Just thought I would share and hope that solves someone else issue.
Ça marché merci car ça fait 1 an que je ne m’en servais plus à cause de ce problème de blink red et maintenant ça fonctionne très bien alors à chaque café je l’essuie et plus de problème merci encore
After trying suggestions that I found on the internet to solve the orange blinking twice problem (including yours which unfortunately did not work for me), I was about to give up. My last attempt, which was successful, was to hold the coffee maker upside down over the sink and spray hot water around the pod holder. A lot of coffee grounds came out. Someone said the grounds could keep the unit from reading the bar codes on the underside of the pod. His or her suggestion was to disassemble the unit. No thank you. This was easier. Thank you anyway for your video.
Omg this is what helped!! I tried everything! Was looking to buy a new one I just think it was clogged with old grounds, I had it in storage for over a year because I couldn’t figure it out. Thank you!
I did the factory reset first and it didn’t work. But your vid did help because that thing that spins was not spinning freely so I nudged it and finally spun. I then resetted it again. And it works!
I tried to hold it down for 5 secs to get the factory reset. Cleaned the centrifugal spinner. Cleaned the clear bar code reader. Descaled I don't know now many times. Not nothing worked. I was just about to throw it in the garbage and buy a good old coffee pot machine. Then I tried to spread the metal "wings" out. Holly crap it worked! These machines are super difficult to get working once they have an issue. I wish that Nespresso would make them easier to operate.
plus if you have a new pod in there, and you don't want it to drop in the holder or try to put it back in again just right to reuse, you can just partially unlock it so the top part only comes apart ever so slightly, then you can hit the button 5 times in 3 seconds and it will reset. then just lock it and it will be successful but this time keeping your new pod in there ready to use
Your video at 45sec, you’re trying to spin that top part underneath.Yours moves freely. Mines completely jammed. How do I get that last to spin again?? I’m assuming that’s the problem but I can’t get it to move.😩
Thanks for sharing. I tried everything and nothings been working for me. I tried your method and it still won’t brew any coffee. I’m so frustrated. I’ve been trying for a week now. The orange light won’t go away
@@bigplayaplaya15 Same over here.. it starts after pressing the button, start making some noices as the pump working, after 1 or 2 sec. no coffe cames out and the machine stops, 2 orange flashes on the LED mug..
Update: What i did it was to clean the F up of the machine with vinager and a thootbrush + carefully rinse it with water and magic! it worked with no problems!
Hi I also got the orange blinking light and wasn’t sure what it was. My 6 year old was helping me make a coffee and slammed the top when closing it and after that I realized the orange light was on and also noticed when O close it, the part that turns to the left covers the lock symbol when all of nespresso vertuo videos show it falls past the lock sign. I noticed in your video as well it falls on top of the lock sign when it should originally be falling behind the lock sign. Did you happen to slam it by any chance? It also falls behind the unlock sign when it’s opened and all original nespresso videos when it’s opened it falls right on top of the unlock sign when opened. I think our issue is that we possibly damaged it when closing it? What are your thoughts? Have you noticed this at all?
IMPORTANT!! I tried this fix and every other and they all FAILED !! I then installed the nespresso app on my phone, navigated to my machine, hit " maintenance " and BOOM.....it said " software updated" and all was FIXED !!! Do NOT throw away machine !!!
Covering all the solutions so if one didn’t solve the issue the other will. But thank you for your constructive criticism. I will hold your opinion to the highest regard. Thank you so much 👍
The only thing for me that works is this: 1. unplug the unit. 2. remove the water container and the empty pod container. 3. open the top. 4. TURN THE MACHINE UPSIDE DOWN AND TURN THE ROTATING MECHANISM WITH YOUR FINGER A FEW TIMES. 5. put everything back together...done.
Ok, that didn't work. Here how I got mine to work. Open, spin the thing at the top with a spoon. Then close (don't lock) press hold for five seconds. The orange light will stop blinking. It will not flash white. Now unplug the unit. Open the unit and plug it back in. Put in a coffee pod. Press down and lock. Then press the button. It should spin up and brew if not repeat and the second time it will work.
