The voice notification is very low. When you come in the home, it says "The alarm will sound in 'x' seconds," but kids, a dog, or a bunch of groceries that you're trying tog RT though the door, will easily mask any voice notifications the nest guard makes. You cannot adjust the voice notification volume. There is also no option for constant beeping when you set up to leave or when you arrive home like traditional alarms.
What is the operational temperature of the sensor? I need to install one in my garage door. There is no heat in my garage so in the winter, it gets close to freezing.
I enter my house through the garage a lot. It is not convenient to make it all the way to the base station upstairs. Besides setting the alarm to activate in a longer time (5 min for example), or turning it of via app (weak cell phone signal or wi-fi outage) is there another way to do deactivate the alarm? Some systems allow setting up 2 keypads to deactivate the alarm system for multiple access users
Can I disable one or multiple sensor(s) and arm the alarm system? I may leave a window cracked open for air while at home/short trip out with the system armed.
