Nest Wi-Fi Vs Google Wi-Fi! Worth The Upgrade? 

It would really help a lot to have a side by side chart to summarize at different setups. I watched the video till almost the end but wasn't sure what to conclude.

Curious, I have the google nest with like four hubs.wondering on your modem, do you have DOCSIS 3.1, and is the signal that is taking in from your ISP 3.1 or 3.0? Sometimes getting a better modem helps produce better speeds. I got an Arris SB8200 and having 32 channels helps a lot with download speeds. If you do a follow up please message me I'm dealing with that 3.0 vs 3.1 issues with my ISP.

For improving your upstairs speed, try reducing the distance between your main nest router and the upstairs access point. The upstairs access point does NOT necessarily need to be close to your upstairs devices but should be within reasonable range.

The Nest router is faster, nest points are the same as the previous Google router/points

I believe the only real time you saw an improvement was when you were right next to the nest router and it gave you a 5ghz signal. Nest wifi doesn’t let you switch between the two and that’s the only reason I haven’t bought it is the fact that it chooses your signal for you and it’s mainly the slower 2.4ghz band. My netgear r7000 covers my whole home in 5ghz but it’s about 8 years old now and I’d like to upgrade it to the google nest. But I need a whole home 5ghz signal that I can choose myself.

Did you start fresh with the nest WiFi? I have so many devices connected to the network.

Why wouldn't you just get an access point for Google wifi instead of buying a whole new system which also offers an access point?
