Holy mackrel, you saved me what im sure is another couple hours of rage and frustration. Was oblivious to the whole part of adding the dependency to the mod desc.... thank you. Edit* Nevermind, still cant get the baler to actually load the net wrap. Doesnt have the fill indicator, and the twine pallets also show an error in the HUD description that i cant get rid of. Have downloaded the mod from external sites and mod hub with no difference.... Never had any issues with getting twine to work. Vermeer 605M is the baler.

Not a huge fan of how it's been done in 22 vs 19. Doing it this way means you have a whole bunch of duplicate balers clogging up the shop and increasing the amount of storage space the mod takes up and thats not including you will have to prepare other mods to work with this script. Semms incredibly clunky, when the 19 version worked flawlessly by checking machine type and assigning scripts to anything that was a baler

well, considering that it's in ModHub, I guess the modder did it so that also console players can maybe use the mod

Its loaded with scripts wich will exclude it from the mod hub unless Giants incorporates the scripts into the game itself to allow it to extend down to consoles. That has happned only twice before. Seasons in 17 and 19 and Straw Harvest in 19.

I had no Idea how to edit this Mod at all, seemed like Rocket Science to me. So thanks for this Tutorial! (Not sure if I like the Fact that I can't add a Silage Tank to the coolest Baler, so I'm on the fence about it) Also, very nice Mod :)

So, why would I want this? What does it do? All I see is more work and more money I have to spend. Does it increase the yield of the bales? Anything?

It provides another level of realisum to ones gameplay. It does not increase the yield no more than twine or netwrap does IRL.

The one problam I have is how do electronically challenged old people like me that would like this but are hampered with our limited knowledge

I understand if you wish to add this to an existing mod take your time and feel free to watch that part of the video and pause it at each step. Or at the very least you can make use of the base game balers that have this added in included with the mod.

So to understand because in real life I don't use balers . This think they give you extra yield or is to make stronger bales

They do nothing to the bale. Its all about making what in game is an unlimited item a proper consumable. It would be like if you never had to refuel your vehicles. Square balers require twine to hold the bale together and round balers use either twine or netwrap to do the same thing irl.

has anyone here tried to add this to the john deere 560m? I am having issues trying to get it to work....

I assume that's because the 560 uses custom bale sizes.

I got it to work. On the last Start here where he adds it to the fillunit, instead of putting it at the top put it at the bottom between fillunit & fillunits just above object change. That worked for me.

Is this just a realism mod. Because other then having to buy more stuff from shop it does not give you extra money for the added cost of the twine or net wrap. Be nice if the modder added extra money for bales being sold. That way it is worth adding this to game play. Great video thought as all ways.

For some realisum is the reason to add it. Is it for everyone? Nope. We all have different ways and motivations to our play.

Hi, I modded the John Deere 560M by TA Modding with this and I haven't been able to get it to work. Is it because that baler has a silage tank on it or able to have the tank on it? I went step by step with your guide on how to do it as well. Thanks

Im sorry I do not remember at this point but I am fairly sure I mention something about balers with silage tanks. I think you have to change the code a few different places because of the config choices.

@@FarmerKlein thanks for your reply, but I figured it out shortly after I wrote this. The last add section within the fill unit part has to be put in at the bottom of that section instead of the top and it works perfectly.

I thought that net wrap or/and twine are for replacing the foil on bailers with foil, as double fuction? So you don't have to make silage with a bailer with foil.

No net wrap and twine are what are use to bind the bale into it's respective shape. Twine=square bales and net wrap=round bales. These mods just add the realism of having to fill up on twine and net wrap as you make bales rather than having an unlimited supply. Everything else relating to balers is identical to the base game (except for not being able to use silage additive tanks when using twine or net wrap).

Maybe it’s because it’s your fear of messing things up for a mod that is working perfectly for you. I’ve did it and am having no problem with the net wrap and twine addon. I’ve been around XML’s enough to know what I’m doing to make the necessary changes that the mod needs to operate like it should.
