Great examples. Automakers all the time are trying to tell us how little they pollute. When Trump came into office the EPA pulled down the pollution ratings online for every single automobile engine selling in the United States. 1 automobile may offer a choice of 3 different engines. Now there is no way to know which one is the least dirty. All engines are filthy, polluting to build, polluting to operate. What batteries are one hundred percent recyclable? The mere act of building an automobile is damaging to our planet. I wish this wasn't true. So much of the world is addicted or wants to be addicted and then enslaved by the automobile lifestyle. Automobile addiction and hoarding money are 2 socially acceptable diseases that are quite fashionable, now. Excellent video to explain Scope 3. Product manufacturers must be responsible for Scope 3 emissions. Great video length and a very important message we should all promote to our friends and neighbors. it's not zero emission but net zero emission, s-panels are built using silicon and other materials which have to be mined and hence some unavoidable processes.

So if these companies take care of materials embedded carbon and other things like transportation, the consumer would then only have to worry about their fuel emissions, no?
Yes that is correct. Every product arrives at zero - except in your example fuel emissions. These are replaced by cheaper renewable energy. Then everyone hits zero - despite what is said above net zero is doable and will be profitable. We will however need to have negative emissions to bring the global climate back under control as the slow response of governments has put us too far down the curve.
@@ThomasBomb45 well thats really crappy for people who are car enthusiasts who spend their lives immersed in the culture and forcing them to adapt these new ways that most people wouldn't be able to convert. There should be a grandfather law if you own it you can keep it but just ban the sale of gas or diesel cars eventually but those who own them should still be able to run them and be able to purchase fuel. They'll all be off the road anyways in time anyways. I dont even agree with banning anything or forcing any kind of adaptations especially when reason is bogus in the first place. Its just a power and money grab let's not sit here and pretend like this is being done for the environment.
@@weemankyle I don't see what kind of selfish gain there would be for a politician to "force" you to go green. But anyway, I don't know of any plan to force people to get rid of oil cars. You can create fuels that run in the exact same engines, too. Biodiesel runs the same as diesel. We could create other fuels to replace gasoline The priority isn't to get all existing cars to electric. It's all about getting ready for the future
@@ThomasBomb45 well nobody is forcing us yet but if you look at the UN agenda 2030 goals about climate change its pretty clear to me that they are serous about 0 carbon. (We breathe carbon but thats besides the point) im currently running ethanol in my vehicle. Idk if you know much about that but its made from corn and better for the environment than your average unleaded gasoline. Currebtly in my area ethanol is about 50 cents cheaper per gallon. I wouldn't mind continuing to run that. Im hoping that the prices on that stays lower and maybe more fuel stations in mt area will adopt ethanol. I get a few less mpgs but I get more horsepower you can run more aggressive timing without risking knock issues so its a win win in my book and the cheaper price cancels out the less economy anyways.
@@ThomasBomb45 oh I forgot to respond with why they would benefit from forcing us to adopt electric only is because part of the agenda is to implement carbon tax credits for big corporations (of course that means they pass that down to us) and I wouldn't be at all surprised if they implemented similar policies for individuals and personal vehicle use. The more you drive the more you are taxed. They already look for every single way they can tax ya to death so its pretty safe to assume they'll just abuse these policies as well but what do I know
@@WOKETUBE-SUX Ok, and? The problem with fossil fuels is that we are taking carbon from deep underground and pumping it into the biosphere. It is fine to take existing carbon from the biosphere. Like if you cut down a tree and let it regrow, the amount of carbon in the air doesn't change
@@ThomasBomb45 I think you will find now that all these volcanoes are popping off and will continue for some time that arguement is irrelevant. Has any climate debate you ever examined mentioned two facts? First the sun controls the climate, and second it shut off back in december 2019.
@@WOKETUBE-SUX It's sad to see someone so lost in oil company propaganda. There has not been significant volcanism or changes to the sun that would cause the 1 degree of warming that we already have experienced since the industrial revolution
